So far my experience with Bari hasn’t been THAT good. (Patreon)

I mean.. focusing on Bari itself (and not the towns near it like Polignano a Mare, really great town), it’s just… disappointing.
Sure, the old town and the walk near the beach is great and there’s a lot of great views and beautiful buildings, but… the smell…
Piss smell EVERYWHERE you go. You walk and it’s fine, suddenly it hits you. Then you keep walking and it’s fine, then it hits you again.
Trash EVERYWHERE. Bins are overfilled, trash is laying on the street, on the sidewalks, in the bushes. Empty bottles, boxes, papers… there was an alley next to a skate park and Main Street that was overfilled with trash on the ground and it smelled so bad…
Dog poop. You really gotta watch where you’re going because you can step in a dog poop in the middle of the sidewalk. I’ve never seen so much dog poop anywhere else, not to mention on a sidewalk…
Driving is insane. Streets are dangerous, constant honking, drivers do not care if you wanna cross the street. They are number 1 so you gotta watch out.
On the plus side… food. Delicious. Coffee. Mamma Mia, it’s amazing. Trains are very clean, they arrive on time. People are nice, but they’re just.. loud. I guess it’s that Italian blood :) Parks and buildings look really good as well.
P.S pictures you see above are from Polignano a Mare and Bari.
