Good chapter. My only complaint is the whole, “everything’s aces, what could possibly go wrong!” attitude from Axel is starting to feel heavy handed. Also Axel feels a bit obtuse in believing Thoros speaks for all of R’hollor and ignoring any possible concern.

Lady Olenna needs to drop in and give a (figurative) dopeslap on the head to Axel as well as drop some fresh intel in his lap. After all, she might not like him very much but if Margaery is going to be close to him she is going to look out for her family at least.

Taking Thoros word without any second hand confirmation is just proving why he needs a master of whispers. That type of blind trust in everyone answering him honestly without any doubt is going to come back to bite him in the ass.

Tyene? I could see her getting knocked up and going even more zealous from carrying Axel's kid. But Margaery? At best, she'd be like Asha and have any kids with Axel barred from succession because of her family's support of Renly but still able to be part of the Tyrell lineage.

Lol, Thoros thoroughly drunk somewhere in Kings landing, refusing to look at any Hearth. I love how one drunkard managed to accidentally influence kingdom policy while covering his ass about his probably insane demon of a god.

First of all, happy birthday Cam. Second of all.... *bangs head on desk more* DAMN. THIS. LOVABLE. HIMBO! Oberyn, get over there and save your niece's husband (and daughter's lover) from himself! He needs eyes and ears in Essos, STAT! Here's hoping that when the coin finally drops, Axel realizes that he goofed but also goes "THOROS! You got some 'splaining to do!" It's nice to see Tyrion being given the respect and trust that he's earned. Little guy will be lifting mountains of work off of the crown by the time he's done, working hard to repay the chance he's been given. Marwyn being more helpful with one sentence than Pycelle was with decades on the job. And Stannis seems about as happy as Stannis ever gets. I like Asha's plan for the Ironborn, making them privateers/security rather than pirates. Seems to have worked for the Mountain Clans. And with two such successes, I can see Axel cowing the Free Folk/Wildlings and be like "You don't have to kneel, but I'm in charge. You can live in my kingdoms, but try any savage shit and I'll personally smack your ass down." On that note, I NEED Axel and Tormund to meet. Tormund: "You're not kissed by fire, but you fuck and fight well. We can be friends!" Axel: "You know what? Thanks, I think I'll enjoy that." Mance Rayder: "What just happened, and why do I have a feeling of impending doom?" Stannis: "You too?"

Daughter for Asha, cause having the next ruler of the Ironborn being another woman, one who can kick as much ass as her father does, would be funny as hell. Plus having a daughter would further mollify those with concerns of the Heir to the Iron Islands having a blood claim, even if not a legal claim, to the Iron Throne. Firstborn son for Sansa, cause she seems to be the most committed to being Queen and producing a male heir would be the feather in her cap. Twins or even triplets for Arianne, cause with as much attention is paid to her breasts, she might as well make use of them for feeding her brood. I'd say the one or two girls come first, and then the one boy so he's definitely the second born son. And just to torture Axel as to where he should be and whose door he should be pacing outside of, they all go into labor at the same time.

Agreed, the himbo, however lovable he may be, needs to be taken down a peg and given a dose of reality. On Planetos, you NEVER tempt fate, and things can ALWAYS get worse.

Agreed. I'm still pulling for Oberyn to become Master of Whispers. I know Olenna Tyrell has been mentioned, but I think Essos is the major concern for any future Master of Whispers, at least for the time being.

Agreed, Cam is the Greatest Of All Time when it comes to consistently good smut writing. Though he's improved to the point where he can write more than just smut and still be engaging. :)

I'm still holding out hope for Oberyn to give his audition for Master of Whispers. Would be funny if they both nominated themselves for the job. Would be effective if they were BOTH given the job, Oberyn handling foreign affairs (heh) and Olenna handling the domestic intel.

Agreed. Trust but verify. I mean you did it for Tyrion, why would you take one crappy drunk priest's word for it that an entire religion and their god was cool with you? At least seek out a second opinion before considering the matter done.

I kinda hope it happens, but it would be a political hot potato if it happened. Like was said, Tyene is no big problem as she's a bastard herself and considering her new religious fervor would probably be cool with her child being destined to join the Faith. But if Margery gets knocked up, that might give her family IDEAS again. And if it gets revealed that on top of already having two Queens and an arrangement with the Lady of Pyke, people might get testy when they find out he has ANOTHER two lovers. Although when Dany and Missandei get into the mix, him having the nice holy number of SEVEN wives/lovers might offset that with the Faith at least.

That might work out well, since Oberyn probably has more contacts in Essos from his sellsword days and Lady Ollena has trained every lady in waiting that has gone through Highgarden.
