Not that I think she'll end up a part of Axel's Harem (though it would certainly be interesting lol), but why do I get the feeling that Arya is going to sneak away to follow Jon to Kings Landing....if only to get away from her mother lol

Volodya

If nothing else Axel will be able to see the truth in a day by flying there. I don’t know if he’ll be excited or annoyed that once again someone’s stirring shit for his kingdom.

Kasikan

Perfect opportunity for Arya to run away. With any luck she'll find herself having a good time with Brienne in King's Landing. Maybe with some of Arianne's cousins if they come to visit as well. Since they're the only women in the series that seems to be able to enjoy themselves with martial pursuits outside of the Mormonts. Which unfortunately it looks like Arya never got a chance to know them. Otherwise she'd have likely gone to live on Bear Island.

Wafflenator

"As far as Arya concerned " only typo I found

Tsorov

Arya is going to sneak onto the ship, isn't she? To escape her mother by hiding behind the queen.

Sith2go

Only 4 more seasons, then winter will sure come. Though it will only last one episode.

Catelyn has just about become She-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named in this fic. Ned seems to be the only character not to treat her like the plague. Not even her most dedicated simp, Littlefinger, could stand her. I think this is the closest thing to character bashing I've seen in Cam's fics lol.

TheSinful

Seasons 1-7: "Winter is coming." Season 8: "Winter is here!" Winter: "Don't mind me. Just passing through."

TheSinful

Arya getting fostered by Asha so she can learn how to actually fight

Here's hoping for a Axel and Jon bromance once he gets to Kings Landing. Jon: "Bastard solidarity?" Axel: "Bastard solidarity." Tyrion: "Let me get in on that! Solidarity of those who are bastards in their fathers' eyes!" I find it interesting that Ned doesn't go into any other details about Axel considering he's personally seen what his son-in-law can do. Also, what did Ned THINK Jon was going to call him that he was so pleased to be called 'father'?

SylverIron

Come now, this is Arya we're talking about here.... I'd be surprised if she didn't.

SylverIron

Arya, staring up at the Kraken corpse: "....how the fudge did I get here?"

Cerberus09

I hope Arya finds a way onto that ship! Just to visit her sister the queen mind you, wink wink. Still looking forward to Axel having a duel with 'the king beyond the wall' soon. It'd be a nice way to make the wildlings 'not' be wildlings anymore if they follow Axel, could be the 8th kingdom?

Alun Lewis

Probably keep calling him Lord Stark or use his given name, one supposes. While he's biologically Jon's uncle, I'm sure he's wanted Jon to call him Father for a long time, simply because he's done his best to serve as a father figure to the young man...but doing so within earshot of Caitlyn would have started shit no one wanted to have to deal with. Though I'm curious...has there been ANY explanation in lore of why Ned has never sat Caitlyn down and read her the Riot Act while explaining the the truth of Jon's origins? Especially after Bran was born and was the spare heir, so Jon's legal claim though his mother would have been superseded twice were his origins known. I mean...Caitlyn's hate of Jon is based on the belief that Ned strayed from the marriage bed and Jon was conceived of that affair, so I guess I'm trying to understand if its assumed she would have snitched to King Robert about Jon's paternal parentage to gain favor for House Stark (even though Jon's legally like 4th in line to lordship of Winterfell via being Lyanna's son).

Alun Lewis

Hmmm...yeah...Arya is gonna sneak away and travel to King's Landing to hang out with Sansa, after spending as much time as she can with Jon on the ride down, isn't she? Hopefully, she can also bond with her brother-in-law, too, and help remind him to be less of a dumbass.

I mean, why are they wasting all this time running around? Axel literally flies to the iron islands all the time. Nope, can't send a raven and give him heads up, gotta take the slow route of heading to him and give the tireless undead army even more time. For plot reasons obviously...

JLG33

I hope someone cations Axel about not just running off to fight the Others by himself. It needs to be emphasized that if, somehow, he gets infected and turned, that would be super bad. If undead Axel has even a fraction of his original power, that would be a calamity for the Seven Kingdoms, if not the entire world.

pavbpabv

Who would destroy the wall anyway? There are no dragons, and Euron died. Basically, those wraiths can't do anything.

RichterQ87

The neat thing about having Axel for a King is that there's not as much 'real' danger in allowing the Wildlings to pass through. All Axel has to do is lay down the law, and then even if any of them are stupid enough to get rowdy (unlikely, they're already running away from the Others which are considerably weaker, and the grand majority would be grateful to get away from them) then Axel will fly down again and go full Omni-Man on them. However, if any of them WERE stupid enough to get rowdy then it would unfortunately be months before a letter could reach Axel telling him about it, but that's only really a problem if its the majority of Wildlings that start fucking around, because if not, the majority will likely defend the North from their own people that ARE fucking around to make sure they don't get wiped the fuck out, with the North helping them. So really worst case, a few villages get razed by overeager Wildlings before they get killed by the rest. Not great, but considerably fucking better than letting every single one of them die and become soldiers for the Army of the Dead.

Great chapter
