So time to come clean, the Silver Eyes story has honestly been giving me trouble for months now. I'm just kind of spinning my wheels at this point and admittedly don't quite know where to take it.

The whole concept started as "what if the MC found himself in a breeding program to repopulate Silver Eyed Warriors" but ultimately I dunno if that concept really has legs beyond Cole fucking another MILF character every other week.

Trying to avoid Sunk Cost Fallacy here, so I'm polling you guys to find out if its just me or if I'm right that this story is kind of just... eh.

I probably wouldn't end this story immediately to be clear, but depending on the results of this polling, I might look into sunsetting it in the next couple of chapters.

Truth be told, I never watched RWBY in the first place so I never bothered to read this story in the first place. If taking it off your production roster frees up your bandwidth to make other content or just have more personal time, I am pro-cancelling.

… the idea reminds me of the “Naruto clan restoration” concept - but unlike Naruto, RWBY has less opposing elements to make for an interesting plot. (The only real thing would be keeping Salem from interfering- and Salem doesn’t want to be a known actor. Which does make sense - if she makes a big splash she’d cause the Kingdoms to unite against her) It doesn’t help that, as far as we know, silver eyes provide only one Meaningful Technique, whereas Naruto clans have far more versatility (given that they’re basically the equivalent of ‘cultivatior bloodlines’) Plus, the way Remnant presents itself as being closer to our sensibilities…

I think what Silver Eyes needs is a real antagonist. I think that's why these sorts of fics tend to flounder. If you decide to stop writing Silver Eyes, I hope you decide to return to the concept at some point with an actual goal for the protagonist.

I'd probably put it to a vote if the current trend to the above poll holds true. Run a series of Vibe Checks over the next few weeks as I sunset Silver Eyes. One of those Vibe Checks would be if people wanted me to stick with RWBY or turn the slot into another fandom

Aside from whatever the fuck happened to Ozpin & if it changed/means anything for Salem, it's really just RWBY smut, so story wise I'm down for it being replaced, smut wise it's preferred to most of the weekly poll results.

Thing is, would love it if MC wasn't such unlikable character for me, now if he was similar to Unyielding Stag mc just in character it would be nice, just tired of all of these selfish, self centric, and self-serving 'crminal' MCs.

It's always sort of a turn-off when the protagonist isn't fully engrossed in the act. It was a much bigger problem in Blasting Off, because the MC was downright reluctant to have sex.

Yea, it is alright if the character is piece of shit human being if there is at least something to balance it, you can be selfish and kind, self-serving and generous, self-centered and caring for those close to you... Unfortunately this mc has nothing going for him, just a carbon copy of every bad trait while lacking anything that could make him seen as complicated human.

I enjoy RWBY but I'm neutral to this story beyond the women getting fucked so either needs some sort of twist or move on to another story.

Not gonna lie. I love the concept and idea, but I really don't care for the execution by now. I feel like excluding basically all characters that matter and people are attached to in the show from the core premise was a baffling idea. My personal gripe about excluding the shows protagonist for short term convenience (easy team placement) is still bugging me 40+ chapters in. In my opinion, opening up the field might be the one idea left that could salvage this, but I've grown pretty apathetic at this point. That really stings, because I was incredibly hyped for a long form RWBY story by you, since I loved most of what you usually did with the characters.

Honestly I’m pretty ambivalent about multiple of the fics currently running, wether that be cause I find the premise not too interesting or cause it’s the Nth fic of the same fandom, but this one in particular I just didn’t even feel like spending the time reading for a few months now, so safe to say I’d rather see it replaced by something potentially more interesting

Totally valid critique, though on the subject of Ruby's exclusion, that wasn't for short term convenience but because of long term plot ideas that unfortunately fell to the wayside. SPOILERS: basically I originally intended to have the backstory be Salem and Summer made a deal. Summer would perma-kill Ozpin with her Silver Eye Powers and Salem would stop trying to kill humanity quite so hard while providing a place for Summer and baby Ruby to live at her castle. Eventually though, word of a Silver Eyed Warrior showing up would reach them and kick shit off. And Summer and young adult Ruby would show up. But at some point I decided I wasn't sure if I liked that or not and started considering changing it. And in the meantime while I was waffling about what the REAL backstory was, I didn't really make any room for a moment where Cole's Silver Eyes get revealed and word about them starts to spread around as rumor. So that plot has been sort of spinning its wheels for a long time now lmao.

Ironic, that would've been infinitely more enjoyable than the Menagerie excursion. Wouldn't have even felt rushed, just make Salem a "backer" of cinder / a mother figure and have her gush about her silver eyed adventure. A little weak but Salem would've been in play that way. Oh well, hindsight is 20/20.

This one is more porn than plot, all your better stories are plot first and it shows in this one. This reads more like a monster of the week shonen series (but replace monsters with milfs) which can be funny/fun with a good cast of characters, but the MC is just kind of a shit-heel with little likeable qualities, so its tough.

I started reading this cause I'm a big RWBY fan.....after several chapters I stopped caring about it though, Cole is an.....eh character. I don't really like how he was written, but he wasn't horrible either. More importantly, he wasn't all that interesting so I could take it or leave it, though I would love to see more RWBY fics

Honestly haven’t really been following this one for a hot minute. It was some time after Cinderfall and Emerald lewd happened. But it really boiled down to the MC being unlikable, he lived a hard life sure. But he has a lot of people who have his back and he stills gets pissy about things. And the whole story felt aimless. No matter what a story needs conflict and this one is just about woman of the week looking to get knocked up. That’s fine, I like that but it needs to be a side plot. Something to happen as the story goes on. The guy is a silver eyed male. That should have meant that Salem should have been on his ass since day one, whether trying to kill him or kidnap him. That could have provided the necessary conflict to propel the story. And having Ruby not be a part of the story until whatever plot point you had in mind just felt like a major missed opportunity. If there was one character that could have changed the character’s output it would have been Ruby, like a great ball of sunshine stuck to his back like a Koala. Honestly think this one is just due a rewrite. Make the MC some village kid with some solid potential and a golden retriever himbo personality. And if you still want the Summer and Salem deal to happen then sure, but make it so that Ruby has to get left behind so she still has plot relevance. If Ozpen is dead at the start then allright but let everybody still be in the same position to canon. Let the MC fuck the hate out of Cinder and Salem. Would certainly be more of an achievement. That’s just my thoughts. Have a great day Cambrian!

I've never been a fan of protagonists that will find every single reason under the sun to complain and act like the world is deliberately and purposely inconveniencing them specifically. So this was a struggle from the start and Cole's personality and attitude made it progressively harder to stick with it. The appeal of sex scenes can only carry so far.

I liked this fic initially starting out but as others here have said the MC lost me somewhere about a third of the way in. I love Rwby so I’d love more Rwby fics but I’m at best ambivalent about this one.

frankly what I could see is the main character who comes from another universe and thanks to his he begins a new life for example Harry after Voldemort or Naruto after Death Valley Part 1 Or to change and Harry can go into history I would see Harry in Buffy against vampire or charmed or limited in the series where Helena Gilbert is the main girl On certain stories that I read even if they are abandoning his Harry is the father of Dawn Buffy's sister he had an adventure with his mother last a summer his could be a part of a story and he could have fun with the girls of are those around her daughter she will comeSold older, in her stories I see it all the time with Hermione but frankly I see him more with Luna or a Slytherin who is able to push him as it should not just be complained that does nothing or go back to the teacher

I personally think that this story would have actually been better if it was purely a series of slightly connected sex scenes. I think the correct balance is going to be different for every story and will also be different for every reader of the same story to some extent but in this particular instance I'm not a really a fan of either the MC or of the overall non-porn portion of the plot so I'd prefer more porn and less plot whereas another story might be the opposite.

For me the problem with any story based on the mc having to fuck every female, inevitably grinds the story to even more of a halt than horny polls ever will. While im always for RWBY stories, this one isnt really working for me, unfortunately.

Ngl, I was thinking there was some sort of deal between Salem and someone else to either Perma Death Oz or Capture Oz and Salem was busy keeping him Sealed/Tortured but Alive/making certain there were no other Oz's via Magic and celebrating her "freedom" when the person she made the deal with inevitably dies of Old Age. Only for her to hear of the breeding program / silver eyes from someone and start trying to intervene, or take advantage of it. Salem, from everything we know, can still get pregnant so...

It really was just kind of a meh story after a while. Basically the same sex scene with *insert milf here* but no real story advancement because impregnating women was the point of the story.

This story seemed to suffer from trying to make both the plot and the porn the primary story drivers. Your stories work better if one of those is driving but the other is a frequent tag along, so either you needed to stop making every plot point lead to sex instead of other action, or stop trying to make a coherent plot and just accept that the story should be made of sex scenes with everything in between skipped over,.
