Thought of the best final line of the story. "hello son" last scene is his mom shows up and says hello and that's how it ends. leaves a nice cliff hanger for if you ever do a sequel.

Hey, just wondering, at what point did Axel start hating his mother? His father I get and I might have missed some hints or dialogue concerning Axel's mother, but I figure he was kinda like Jon Snow who was just a boy wondering who his mother was but had no particular feelings towards it. Interested to see how this pans out as only 20 years have passed and his mother said she was going to return in 100. Interested to see how the next 80 years will go (If there is already a decided poll on what happens next then never mind) Still, though, interesting lore build and looking forward to the epilogues and a possible sequel. Good luck.

“JUST FUCKING WATCH ME! This world is MINE! It’s not yours to conquer, and it CERTAINLY isn’t my mother’s!” He almost said it! He almost said the thing! Omni-Man would be proud. Also, love the casual mention from the AI about Axel actually being a weak example of his species, because he probably would be, at the end of the day. He's had no training and only like 2-3 near-death experiences good enough to push him to his limit and get stronger, which if you consider how often Mark had to get his ass beat and Viltrumite's culture of constantly pushing themselves, is merely a drop in the pond. Though from what we've seen, Axel is still stronger than Mark was, especially at the beginning. That said, I'm curious to what heights Axel will manage to reach with the help of the Seven and so forth by the time his mom comes back. Low-key hoping he'll get his ass beat, but at the same time with the story ending soon and no sequel planned, I don't really want it to END that way. Wondering what a good middle-ground would be. Guess we'll see soon. We're in the endgame now.

Other than logical passive distaste for his mother stemming from how she showed up just at the end of Robert's Rebellion, made the beast with two backs with dear ol' Dad, disappeared, then reappeared again with infant Axel in tow to drop him off wirh Robert on the day of Robert's wedding to Cersei... I don't think Axel had any real hate for his mother till AFTER the Seven dropped the bomb she wasn't human and came from outer space. And even then, one has to imagine that Axel didn't go from 0-100 when it came to hating his mother...but the closest frame of reference Axel has to space aliens is either demons and monsters of myth or various gods. And he's had a rough time in his life with deities other than the Seven Who Are One, so hearing that Mommy Dearest is a member of a race of intergalactic conquerors probably was the poop icing on a compost pile cake...and all the building fear and confusion about being half-"Starborn" caused Axel to express all his self-hatred via openly declaring his mother an enemy if she does try to come back and take Planetos for the Viltrumite Empire
