So I can see two ways to interpret Celine's thoughts on not risking Mira and Zoey's reaction to Rumi's secret. 1) She's thinking of the fallout of finding out about Rumi's dad with Mi-Yeong or 2) There is a reason the 3rd Sunlight Sister isn't around and it has to do with her reaction to Rumi and certain actions Celine may have felt she had to take.

My mind is imagining a scene where 3rd sunlight sister tries to stab Rumi's dad and Mi-Yeong tries to defend him and gets hurt. I don't think that's how th Honmoon works, though, including in your version

Yeah in this story, that doesn't happen. Shit DID go down though and the third Sunlight Sister IS dead. Eventually, I'll try to get us to a place where Celine can fully spill the beans. Though even she doesn't know EVERYTHING that happened leading up to the tragedy of that day. So I'll have to find a way to include the rest too.

I think you're the only writer and fan theorist who actually pointed this out about derpy and sussie lol. Even in the movies they never outright say they're demons, but supernatural creatures none the less makes more sense. Even the behind the scenes never brought it up, only that Jinu raised derpy as a cub

Haha well I can't take credit, I definitely saw them referred to as guardian spirits or at least 'not demons' in quite a few of the fanfics I read over on AO3. In fact, one specific fanfic I vaguely recall had Celine herself call them guardian spirits, so I can't even take credit for her figuring it out either. They're also quite literally based on ancient korean animal spirits from that region's mythology, so its definitely an easy and logical leap to make

That's pretty sad. Did she at least have any opportunity to change her hairdo from whatever the heck it was in the movie? It's one thing to die, it's another thing to die and be incredibly fashionably dated

And it doesn't quite make sense for them to be purely the same as demons because the Rainbow Honmoon, however it works, definitely pushed Gwi-Ma and his goons down into the underworld, where as Bird and Cat are visible in the real world just before the credits roll.

Maybe not past humans, but send or created (at least the spark of them) by loved ones to protect Jinu, once the sister learned of his fate and beg the gods for a second change for her brother.

That hint about past experience shaping Celine's logic re: having Rumi hide her secret from Mira & Zoey...feels a bit ominous. Like she's had to do the unthinkable to protect Rumi and that action involved someone she cared for. And I dunno what would be worse: the person being Mi-yeong, or that it was the third Sunlight Sister. Past comments by Mira have painted Celine as Mira's counterpart in the Sunlight Sisters...but what if Celine was more like Zoey back in the day and accepted the situation between Rumi's parents, but the third Sunlight Sister didn't? Tried to kill Rumi - or both Mi-yeong & Rumi - and Celine had to use lethal force on a being that wasn't a demon?

well 3rd sunlight sister may have tried kill rumi after Mi-yeong died, Celine stopped it and #3 killed herself in front of rumi and celine (while cursing them both leading rumi to unconsciously blame herself for it repressed memory style).
