I can't help but feel bad for poor Aayla. Not only did she, as a freshly minted Master, get saddled with the frakking Chosen One, but it's actually (Beyond Peak) Vader on top of that lmao.

Vader...murked the corrupted Force Nexus underneath the Temple...just to blind Sidious in the Force?! That's...damn! 😮 But seriously, such a move definitely stymies good ol' Sheev quite a bit, and who knows how it might effect things in general...neither Palpatine nor Vader struck down the former's Force Shroud around the Nexus' location, so the Jedi are still affected in their ability to sense Dark Side shenanigans, but unless Vader absorbed the Nexus? One has to figure that the redistribution of the Force means unexpected possibilities are now on the table...

Hadrian Scipio

A minor correction. It was a Twi'lek Sith Master who ripped a hole in the force that created the "Shroud of the Darkside of the Force," which blinded the Jedi's vision of the future. Not Sidious. The Sith Lords descended from Darth Bane, and leading to the Clone Wars are as follows. Starting around 167 BBY. First the Twi'lek Sith Master, then Darth Tenebrous, then Darth Plagueis, and finally Darth Sidious. Other than that, a good chapter.

Cambrian

Interesting, never heard about the hole before! I've definitely gone in my own direction with the whole Shroud idea in this story lmao, but still fun to learn something new.

Hadrian Scipio

It was referred to in the Star Wars Legends novel "Darth Plagueis." It is a great story. I really recommend that your reed the book. It okay, that is why this is an AU Star Wars story.

Cambrian

Yeah I believe I did read Darth Plagueis and in fact it might have been one of the last EU Star Wars books I read back in the day before I got caught up in other stuff. Its just that its been 13 years since I read it so my memory of the little things like that isn't the best. I remember stuff like Plagueis' master being a bith called Tenebrous and also Plagueis having to fight another Sith Apprentice to earn his rightful place in the Rule of Two, but not the details like the unnamed Sith Master making a hole in the Force haha

Ah yes, poor Aayla, putting those lovely lekku in such easy grabbing distance.

Aayla, out of her depth as a new Jedi Master and oh so vulnerable
