With hippolyta's personality. A slower approach where she actually gets to know Lucien would be best. It would also give her a chance to explore man's world like Diana did

Jazzmanstil

I feel like Lucien should court Hippolyta and have her see him for what he is, A good guy as we damn well know. Go on a few dates maybe show her the world of man, both good and bad, maybe co-rule with Diana to work this out and then revisit this at a later date and maybe get “married” and have joint custody of the child if they have one at all. Just my thought on this, but still a good read so far. Can’t wait for the next chapter.

Gamesempie

Let the horny flow through you! But yeah, story wise best to hold off for a bit and letting them "court" each other for a while word be more in line with Hippolyta's character and I can't see Lucien being ok with his baby mama not being a major part of his daughter's life.

Captain Hair

The obvious alternative is a goddess foursome with Hippolyta in the cuck chair. Hell, make it a fivesome with Death popping in to freak some people out.

Aphrodite! Calm yourself, no manipulating feelings for your voyeurism kink.

I just thought of something, in the late 80’s early 90’s in the wonder woman comics, Hippolyta was actually Wonder Woman for a short while. You can do the same thing here on top of my previous statement. That would make things even more interesting and would let her see things the way Diana did as well.

The funny thing about the marriage of Hera and Zeus is that a decently large portion of ancient greeks practiced some form of polygamy. Instead of taking concubines, the fool went about r*ping, coercing, tricking, and destroying marriages. The literal antithesis to Hera's domains.

SylverIron

Would be hilarious if that was the choice behind the scenes. Hippolyta declines, so it falls to Hera or something to pick up the slack...

SylverIron

....so, what I'm hearin is, it would be perfect acceptable for Hera to offer a partnership to Lucian when Hippolyta declines? :)

SylverIron

....I'm now imagining a MILFy Wonder Woman, thanks.

CkLance

Most definitely. As long as there are vows legitimizing the relationship between Lucien and Hippolyta, Hera would probably even give out her blessing.

Aphrodite: "Nevaaaa! I live for the horni- no, I AM the Horni Jail!" *(Maniacal laughter ensues.)*

Sith2go

Sorry thots, but Lucien's sugar mommy says you cant be angry at him.

War sage

Honestly surprised Lucien having a kid with Diana wasn't considered

I can't decide if this poll shows character growth on our part, or if the clever among us are angling for a foursome with the goddesses. Either way, I guess I'm proud of us?

Went with option 2. Because "F^CK YOU'R DIVINE PLANS!!" Second this smells of you are doing this because we say so, leading to my first statement. And forcing snu snu when that is clearly something Hippolyta doesn't want at the moment, so best let that crush she is starting to get grow naturally. Third it would be funny as hell if Death pops in with Diana and proposes A. an engagement to Diana ( A twist on the life for a life debt) B. Just make Lucien an honorary Amazon in recognition of the great service he did, which would allow him to set foot on Themyscira (Diana's idea). C. Death says for one or all three of the goddess's to be a "playmate" for a night, since she enjoyed helping our boy break in Lady Gothom and want's to have another go at it. (Still waiting to see a mention of how Lady Gothom is being clingy in some way.... Oh wait would the Omega beams work on her? She may show up first chance and ask Lucien to blast her with it. Maybe wait on her showing back up until she prefers being their pet or something.)

I could go on a big rant, but I'll just say here that canonically, Zeus found mortals either disgusting or boring, hated sleeping with them, and was practically mind controlled. Here's two sources for that, too. Homeric Hymn to Aphrodite (6th century BC): The heart of Zeus, who delights in thunder, is led astray by her [Aphrodite]; though he is greatest of all and has the lot of highest majesty, she beguiles even his wise heart whensoever she pleases, and mates him with mortal women, unknown to Hera, his sister and his wife... Lucian's Dialogue of the Gods (2nd century AD): EROS: You might let me off, Zeus! I suppose it was rather too bad of me; but there!—I am but a child; a wayward child. ZEUS: A child, and born before Iapetus was ever thought of? You bad old man! Just because you have no beard, and no white hairs, are you going to pass yourself off for a child? EROS: Well, and what such mighty harm has the old man ever done you, that you should talk of chains? ZEUS: Ask your own guilty conscience, what harm. The pranks you have played me! Satyr, bull, swan, eagle, shower of gold,—I have been everything in my time; and I have you to thank for it. You never by any chance make the women in love with me; no one is ever smitten with my charms, that I have noticed. No, there must be magic in it always; I must be kept well out of sight. They like the bull or the swan well enough: but once let them set eyes on me, and they are frightened out of their lives.

Pretty much every mortal woman Zeus lay with predates the Homeric Hymn. It reads more like an excuse for Zeus to sleep with whomever he wants.

VaticToxic

That is literally one of the oldest surviving things we have. Of course the myth predates the Hymn. Do you think the Iliad, which is 8th century BC is the actual first source of Greek Mythology? No, it's just a surviving source. To dismiss something because "it came after" might as well dismiss all mythology. That's a terrible argument and I can't accurately describe just how bad of an argument that is. Almost every source we have for every mythology we have was written hundreds, if not a thousand or more, years after it would have taken place. Might as well dismiss the Iliad entirely because the actual events "predates the Iliad". Just admit you've never read any of the actual mythos, never intend to, and subscribe to roman versions that badmouth every God, at that point.

CkLance

Not once did I use that rhetoric. I said it sounds like an excuse. Which after thousands of years of previous mythos, it does.

CkLance

Homer himself uses the pre-existing origins in the Hymns. Which is why what you're quoting reads like an excuse or justification for Zeus' infidelity. Zeus was an established fornicator millennia before Rome was ever established.

Minor correction to the text: 2nd page, 2nd paragraph has Hippolyta thinking about Lucien's return to Themiscyra from fighting Grail before anyone could really register what had happened...you write "up and arms" instead of "up in arms". Also? I'm rather unimpressed with the "solution" that Hera, Persephone & Aphrodite pitched for solving the life debt owed by the Amazons that Lucien resurrected (that we know now Hippolyta metaphorically consolidated and took onto her own shoulders by abdicating and swearing fealty to Lucien, which still feels like Hippolyta is taking away her subjects' AND Lucien's free will IMO), since isn't part of the myth of the Amazons that Hippolyta was SAed by Heracles? Being forced to have sex with Lucien and get pregnant, so he may take the eventual offspring, feels like a huge punishment that the goddesses are not making clear is a punishment for unilaterally deciding how to solve the supposed honour debt issue without consulting them. I'm very glad that Lucien is willing to tell the three deities off for their ploy.
