He doesn't have to. Once he steals it, he just has to place it with the Old Satan faction. They can be held responsible. It's the responsible course of action for a thief to place blame on someone else after all. Fairly certain it's what his ancestors would have done if their whole thing was being thieves.

While I like the idea of immediately seeing a chapter from Ajuka's POV or a "what's Lucrezah up to right now?" slice of life aside, I voted for the next chapter being one from Amadeus' POV...especially if he discovers the Evil Pieces set he swiped was a special model with extra features or something 😉

I like the idea with the calling card, but why the hell would he use his real name or something assiciated with it??? Use a pseudonym/nickname that is funny, like Santa claus or something like that. Having an established name and way of getting in contact with possible buyers is important, and establishing a name is the first step of earning a honest living in the industry of collecting random expensive object and selling them to others.
