Patreon Page Layout Updated (Patreon)

Hey everyone, wanted to drop a quick message now that I've made the switch to Patreon's new page layout.

To be clear, this new layout was first implemented by Patreon like 1-2 years ago, but I did not feel like it was a good upgrade for a writing patreon like mine. It felt more geared towards Video and Artwork style content creators. And since Patreon allowed me to keep the old default appearance, I stuck with it.

However, that time has come to an end. Patreon has announced as of yesterday that the new page layout is becoming mandatory as of November 16th, so instead of waiting until then I'm getting ahead of things and changing it up now.

For anyone still looking to keep the old experience of my Patreon intact, you just need to navigate to the Posts Tab from now on, which is next to the Home Tab. What used to be the Home Tab under the default old experience is now effectively the same thing under the Posts Tab.

I may or may not choose to fiddle with the new page layout a bit more in the coming days just to try and make it work better for myself and you guys. Thanks for your understanding during this time!

Will be great if you can condse the story's on a Post so we can use it as an index and open them form there beside the post. Otherwise thanks for all, you are the best.

The collection tan keep track on all your big story's, bout not weekly pools or sporadic ones, as example y love delicious seed and that one you need to track a chapter then open the story. Think it happen to all pool results and updates, with the new view the app tend to burry old posts more. And you have some incredible stuff there

Go to the Collections Tab and scroll to the bottom where the tags are, that's where you can find tags like Poll Winner for prompt poll winners or DS specifically for Delicious Seed

I've gone ahead and made a Poll Winners Collection so people aren't quite as reliant on tags!

Like every site/app does, it's steadily getting a little worse in terms of delivering what we want, year to year. Most recently, the default patreon.com page shows you a teaser of what you sub to, mixed with a bunch of stuff you don't, in the hopes that they can trick you into clicking on something and then being interested enough to sub to that creator. The old home page is a click away on "Memberships". So, I almost always use my email filter as the patreon home page and click through from there, now. But sometimes Patreon doesn't SEND an email, so I find I've missed something. Bah.

Yeah Patreon's emailing has gotten notoriously unreliable. On my end for instance, I have email notifications for comments turned on. If I'm only getting like 4-5 comments a day, then I'll get a personal email for each comment. But if my comment traffic goes over 5-10 at any point, it stops sending me personal emails for comments and just sends me a single email later in the afternoon with all of the day's comments bundled together. And it sucks, lol
