I was pulling some reference poses from one of those 'art pose' sites to try out a feature in Clip Studio. Essentially it auto-forms one of the 3D drawing dolls into the pose you show it. It's fairly hit and miss depending on the pose and the background. The art site I used actually has either no background or very 'photo-shoot' minimalist so it turned out well enough that I wanted to sketch the pose itself.

It took a bunch of tweaking, as it obviously can't account for horse-faces (none of the models there were horses.. that would be weird. Cool, but weird) and it couldn't quite figure out the legs to give him a 'standing' stance but all of that can be tweaked in the linework.

I like the casual stance. I know it's not dynamic, and there are some crazy dynamic ones I'd like to try, but as a test, I imagine Roaklan shifted into his anthro form, a day out around the outskirts of the township he's a part of.

He's a hard one to keep in my memory sometimes. I forgot he had tattoos and had to go back and add them in.

He 's a big, dopey, frandly neigh. He does his best. Sometimes he gets it right.

I'm giving myself another week before I attempt to go back into sending out commission notices and the notice for the next illustration. I'm tentatively doing much better than I was last week. Medications are taking time to 're-balance' me to a new normal. Sometimes it just takes some time for it to dull down anxiety storms to a livable level, and boy has this combination been working well. Fingers crossed that this will be the end of the 'brain screaming about all the things' saga. Or at least let it be a quieter saga.

Until then, I will color poni. I will draw poni.

Dude... this is amazing. He's a handsome slab of horse, hands down! I... may need to see if you'll transform Oakstone into a horse. For reasons... >>
