Ongoing medical has me bouncing around to varied specialists this month. It's not a bad thing, as I'm able to see them fairly quickly, but it's been a lot of 'waiting to see what's up' which is one thing I don't handle very well. I don't like not knowing what's on the horizon. I like having my hands on the wheel and steering.
Forgive the odd strange art post, much like this one. I'm exploring a bit of the 'weird' of the world, and trying to get some of the abstract things in my head down on canvas. It's immensely therapeutic to just draw without having to figure out a whole scene from the beginning. Keeping everything very rough until the idea is at rest.
On the days that I'm in a better headspace I've been able to get some commission things chipped away at, as well as some comic stuff that I haven't posted yet. It's a little like playing an in depth CRPG, quitting for several months, and returning to it. I have no idea where I was or what I was doing in the game, but I'm intrigued to learn more by opening a bunch of doors and seeing what was behind them.
I had to dig back a few months at least, and in one case, a year, to figure out what exactly I had in mind. While I do write a lot down, sometimes it's just hard to figure out what was in my head that made those particular notes seem precious to me at that exact time.
That said, This is my 'countdown to the spooky times'. I always start in July, August, the leaves start to very slowly, and very individually turn around here, until September goes full fire. I look forward to seeing the new tree friends put on their best colours. This will be my first autumn at the new place and the greenery around here is fairly spectacular for being close to a city center.
I'm also going to lose my mind completely because I'm in coffee mecca... Which means there's going to be a LOT of autumn spiced desserts and coffees to try and the 2.8 billion cafes in a 12 foot distance from this place. I may end up caffeinated enough to power a small dying sun
More (normal) art to come.
