The next in the male series of various common races in Felwroth. Admittedly Elves aren't very common on Felwroth. They're a race that came over from the Sylvan Wilds centuries ago. But I wanted to include them since I like the nature-race types.

Third race style-sheet is underway, as well as a couple other sketches. I'm trying to be as productive as possible between bouts of inhuman heat/humidity.

Some of the sketches down the road are a remake of some of the 'monstrous' denizens of the world. Vampires are utterly not like they are in the movie for instance. And then I have to plan out a map of Valhadruun, the world's larger continent. It might cause my processor to go into a melt-down, so it'll be fun to see the limits of the work machine!

Busy days ahead. Will be posting more.

Humidity putting the "Ugg" in muggy. I get that. I need a set of these myself. No examples I have ever encountered have ever had exactly the races I wanted exactly as I see them. I prefer the examples nude myself. Culture can vary clothing greatly and Humans on Thidacarulle practice many cultures. Some races like Leomans are anti clothing. Others like the Half Centaurs are clothing agnostic. That and I want the physical details to show. I do get into biology and how it affects culture. Take an egg laying race for example. When gestation is outside the body, what does that do to the culture? How much care is given an egg? http://trekcreative.wikia.com/wiki/Acceptian_Empire if you want to check out one way of looking at it. Hardly the only one. Since I cannot draw, I write. Are we getting the same pipe smoking Human as reference each time?

So, are the Javarrans always nude or is that one option?

Its just one option. They don't often wear much outside of cloaks/wraps in the winter given their permanent coat. The more 'civilised' Javarran (the Khulvarri) traditionally wear clothing however.

Its *finally* cooled off nicely today. It reminds me of just how much I can't wait for autumn. It can't come soon enough :) Back when I used miniatures in games I ran, I could never find any that represented the people of the world very well. I had to start drawing miniatures as standee's just to get bring a bit more immersion to things. Its the one down side of making your own races and world, often there isn't anything out there that quite looks right. I was kind of torn between just 'low dress' or nude examples for this run, but for these I wanted to show of a slight 'slice' of the culture with each. Humans vary so much from place to place, as do the Lorrnath and the Javarran. It helped me bookmark where I wanted the 'age' of the world to be too (Roughly on par with 16th or 17th century earth). Many of the 'fur' covered (and in one case, feather covered) races don't really wear much depending on where they are. Northern races will wear hides/skins/clothing simply for added protection from the frigid temperatures in the winters. I need to check back on your world again. its been a while since I visited the pages :) Oh, and the human in each picture is simply a benchmark. He'll appear in the first when inked, and be replaced with a simple standing silhouette on the last couple pages. And thank you for reminding me about the cut/paste too. Its one complaint I have about Patreon, the comment section could use some re-working.
