It has been an 'eventful' month here, locally. Thankfully the 'event' is, at least for now, over with and stress levels are returning to normal with most of the populace.

That said, I've finally started on the 'doing work through the colder months' journey. I've begun working through the commission list again, and hope to at least get a few done through the winter.

And I've finally got the flats of the Pompkin Haul squared away. It's just the basic flats right now, but I'll be chipping away at making this into a painting (or at least a shaded illustration) in the next while. It feels nice to at least get to enjoy the last part of spooki month without daily rhetoric.

The 'bolds will have their pompkins.. To totally and unquestionably NOT steal, as dragons do not steal (logic is malleable here). Despite questioning why they do this every year, Berrand can't help but note that Cinders adores this time more than ever. She does it for the 'happy 'bold squeaks' as they certainly don't steal any pompkins left out.

Speaking of 'bolds, I'll be starting on the next pages for Embers Adrift after getting work on both this and another project progressed. I've missed drawing the tiny dragon and her battles with butterflies and the ghosts in her own head. I think I'm looking forward to the next pages simply from a standpoint of the challenges they'll bring.

As always, the larger image is attached below.

There are few things as important and vital to a community than providing 'bolds with their beloved pumpkins. Berrand and Cinders are doing the (Dragon) Lord's Work here :) .

She adores her squeaky little dragon neighbors. Berrand is happy enough to just sit out with his pipe and let 'bolds quietly roll pumpkins away.
