In the quiet town of WÍcian on the shores of ByrÞen lake, those who practice sorceries are welcome as long as they adhere to not invoking blood magics or rituals involving the infernal hosts.

Wydda Hyggan, or 'Birch Song' is one such practitioner. Drawing the dulcet notes of healing magics from the leylines of mother dragon, she tends to those who's illnesses overtake them. While she's of the Lynceffyl bloodline (a short-statured ancestry of Lorrnath) who normally aren't known to be able to draw from the Leyline, she's proven to be a natural at it, and a preserver of repute in the township.

Living tucked away in a cozy cabin at the southern edge of town, she looks forward to the harvests, the gatherings, and mail from the kind folk who admire her.

Perfesser Bear

I would certainly send Wydda Hyggan an admiring letter. I was retrieving my own mail one afternoon when a (Human) woman stopped her car at the corner of my property. The car itself was interesting, a late 1960s Volkswagen Squareback in that green they loved. The woman got out of the car and peered at a large, hand-drawn map in her hands. I asked if she was lost and at first she indicated she was not, then looked a bit puzzled. "Did you know this is the intersection of two ley lines?" "Yes, that's part of the reason I bought the place. One comes out of the North-West, down the road, and the other more-or-less follows that driveway through the community well property." She goggled at me for a moment. "In what authority did you you to find that?" "None, ma'am. I can see them at night." She was flabbergasted. The exchange was so good, I had to put it into one of my stories.
