Oksana making her way down to the pool, showing off a temporary dye tattoo.

Wolves go woof.

The next image I'll be doing is also a wolf, its actually a patron sketch from a couple months back now. Some tweaks, and then I'll get to inking.

Its likely the next batch of images might be a bit rough. I'm still getting back into the swing of drawing again.

Not to go into a lot of depth here, but my time as a caregiver is now coming to a close. My father is at the point where he needs to have medical supervision I can't give him anymore, and I'm working with his medical team to figure out what that's going to look like as long term care.

I admit that for a couple days after he had to go into the hospital this last time I flipped between feeling very numb and not processing, to falling apart completely. It was to be expected, but we always think we have more time than we do.

After taking a few days to literally do nothing but rest, something I haven't done in years now, I'm ready to start getting a routine together. That routine is going to involve doing some art at least 5 days a week. It doesn't have to be fully finished, it can be anything really, but the point is to have a routine as I find _not_ having one to be very strange. My whole life since 2012 has been on a routine.

It's a strange feeling to not have to rush through art. In the last year I felt like I had to cram as much creative time into 30 minute chunks that It started to burn me. My whole focus was on my father's health needs that I couldn't see anything beyond it. Now I'm able to finally have a moment to breathe again. I'm working on not feeling guilty about that.

Until the next time. Keep woofing.

Dude! She's beautiful!! Love the tat, too ;) We've been thinking about you a bunch lately. Sorry I haven't reached out in a bit.

I wish you and your father all the best, TJ. I hope things turn something amicable and manageable.

How did you know that a smoking hot wolf woman was exactly what I needed this evening, even if I didn't know it?

Also: You really shouldn't feel guilty. I have my own experience taking care of both people and animals for far longer than I planned, and...I hit a point where I think my brain ran out of whatever chemicals it needed to make guilt, and I *needed* to think of myself again. If you went ten full years without hitting that point, your heart is even bigger than I'd like to think mine was.

WOOF indeed! (* brain melts *) She's that beautiful. My Dad has been gone 18 years; one of my duties was driving him to various hospitals for treatments. I miss those trips more than anything; the conversations we had and just the face time.

I've been where you are now. Don't feel guilty. You've done so much for him. Now its time to relieve the stress and heal yourself.

Despite what your are working through the image looks strong and confidant.

Love the drawing -- the angle is perfect for a confident, effortless descent down to the pool. And it's good to hear you have a chance to breathe and find your footing again, even if it doesn't clear all the worries away. The chance to do more art is absolutely a blessing though.
