I love the details. The runes seem reminiscent of those in the Elder Scrolls universe. Very nice. Tell me, what is the significance of the skins over the doors?

The skins are largely a wind deterrent, mostly over tops and cracks of the doors. They also sometimes will have 'blessings' painted on them, or wards to keep dark spirits at bay.
