Sonic Retold - Issue 2, Page 16 (Patreon)

Sorry this page is late - again! It's a good sign that I need a short respite after this scene just to give myself some elbow room to work on the rest of the issue.

A lot of necessary plot exposition here required to bring readers up to speed on previous events. Since I didn't want this to degenerate into a boring conversation page, I drew Amy messing around with Tails to add a bit of visual stimulus.

The third panel is interesting. The storyboard shows a close-up of Sonic's face, but many readers suggested that Tails should get some sleep on page 14 before flying off, which never even occurred to me. Tails wasn't supposed to be on this page at all, but I decided to draw him collapsed in exhaustion after reading comments. Coupled with page 13, these are examples of how reader feedback DOES affect Sonic Retold. Many fans have tried to pitch me their own 'ideas' for the comic, which have nothing to do with the story. If you really want to help develop Sonic Retold, simply continue sharing your thoughts based on what you read. I take all suggestions into account and make changes accordingly. Thanks! :)
