I've always been a SonSal fan and it's one of the few remaining pairings I harbour. However, I know there are plenty of SonAmy fans in the community and I don't want to feel like they're getting snubbed in this comic due to Sonic's preoccupation with rescuing Sally. Amy has always crushed on Sonic in the games and comics, but things never really took off from there. I felt that it's important for Sonic and Amy to come to terms with their relationship, which is why I included this scene where Amy has matured enough to express how she really feels about Sonic, and for Sonic to requite those feelings. Sonic must be feeling pretty lost without Sally, but at least Amy will always be there for him. This scene is dedicated to all you SonAmy fans out there. Enjoy!

Also, this scene marks the midway point of the issue and I need to take a short break. January was a terrible month for me creatively and I lost a lot of time.
