Page 4-26 sketchwork (Patreon)

So... yeah. This is normally the point where I share a sketchwork sample for the upcoming page 5-17 (which is drawn), but that page is very effects-heavy and no portion of it looks right until it's coloured. So instead I thought I'd share the sketchwork for the heart-wrenching page 4-26 where Alicia mourns over her deceased husband (and Rotor gives Shard a death glare).

One sticky point is the height difference between Shard and the wolf twins. They were portrayed as relatively equal height as Secret Freedom Fighters, but the wolves were always taller Mobians, and I think Leeta and Lyco should reflect that even in adolescence. Steve Butler seems to draw them at a more accurate height than Tracy Yardley. Another thing you might notice is the lack of background. This is the ONLY page where I've done this because there are already so many characters filling the panels. I was short on time and this was the final page of the Wolf Pack, so I decided to simply copy and paste backgrounds from previous pages as templates and paint over them freehand. Saves a lot of time - but I can only do that trick once. ^_^;;
