Weekly Update: Looking Forward for 2026: a way you can help me out! (Patreon)

Hey Saucy ones, this is a newsletter now! What does that mean? ABSOLUTLY NOTHING! Patreon just wants me to do this now. It's kind of a pain because I have to start from their template and then delete around all their stuff.

For some quick housekeeping Streams probably aren't gonna be a thing this week as I still need to replace some cables in my mic setup and here in the states we have a major holiday coming up. I haven't done too much recently anyway as last weekend was my birthday and I was taking it easy. I didn't do anything too crazy, I really just made it a point to enjoy time with my family and try not to turn on the computer. We went to Morton's and I got a nice bottle of whisky and a cool book.

Cool New ideas for Halloween in July 2026

So I've been brainstorming some new ideas to help make Halloween in July more exciting and something that I've come up with is that on top of the special gifts I do every year, I'm also gonna start doing pledge milestone rewards too! I doodled something out on a legal pad, added a few ideas I initially had, and then asked the Discord for a few more. Here's what we've got so far:

As you can see, it is indeed quite literally scribbled on a legal pad with the words "NOT FINAL" in all caps. I might move some of these around to lower or higher milestones, or just get rid of things if I think it'd make way too much work for me.

And here's the part where you can help me out! Like I was saying in the discord Monday night, we are still very much in the "throw things at the wall and see what sticks" phase of this stretch goal roadmap. Anything you wanna see? just go ahead and tell me about it in the comments! I'm looking for just about anything to entice free members into going paid and new members into pledging this summer!

Now about that Fallout New Vegas Challenge run...

It's all played, the recordings are chopped up into small, easy to work with segments, and the video itself is fully outlined, and here's that outline in full!

This is all properly spaced out and ready for me to write. The hardest part was that thanks to doing a system restore I had to redo all my type styles and shortcuts before outlining everything out. With just outline itself and all the headers in place this thing is already 12 pages long so yeah, it's gonna be a biggun. I'm spending today and then maybe Friday writing it and I'm shooting for everything to be wrapped up on the writing aspect by the 6th, but if I think the script needs it I'll go as far back as the 10th. That'd still give me a week and a half just for recording and editing which will be fairly straightforward given the structure of the video.

The cooking segment's gonna be a something special: My family chili recipe. Well, it's the one my family uses anyway. According to the recipe itself it was found in some magazine in the 90s and beyond that I have no idea. I'm pretty sure it's older than me though. I'm just happy to do it again though as it's been a long time since the last time I made it and the weather's just right for chili again.
