Here's that original Recipe, write-up will be below:

Ingredients (as I made it):

3lbs 85% lean ground turkey breast

2 15oz cans of diced tomatoes, juices and all

~2tbsp vegetable oil, you don't need to get too exact here

1 15oz can pinto beans

1 15oz can black beans

1 15oz can corn, liquid drained

about 15-18 oz of beef broth depending on how much you need to cover solids.

as many cloves of garlic as you're feelin' smashed and then roughly chopped

one yellow onion, diced

one bunch of celery, slicked and then roughly chopped

1 bunch of parsley, roughly chopped

1 heaping teaspoon cumin

3 heaping teaspoons chili powder

1 teaspoon oregano

salt

pepper

(For Chili Dogs) The hot dogs and buns of your choice. Y E S amounts of grated cheddar cheese

2 boxes of Jiffy brand corn muffin mix and all the things you need to make them (2/3rds cups milk, 2 eggs, pan spray)

Prep:

Chop all vegetables and garlic and put into their own bowls. Grate your cheese now so you don't have to do it later when you want to eat the chili.

Heat a large pot to medium high and add oil. add in celery and onion, stir to coat with oil, and then cover the pot with a lid and lower heat to let the vegetables sweat for 3-5 minutes.

uncover lid of the pot, add turkey and garlic, and return to medium high heat. Stir vegetables and turkey continuously for about 5 minutes until turkey is browned and pebbly

add tomatoes, juice and all, plus all spices. Stir until combined and then add just enough beef broth to barely cover the meat mix. bring down to a bare simmer, cover, and let it go for an hour.

uncover, add beans and corn, and simmer uncovered for another 15 minutes or basically however long you want. When done with it's second simmer, add the chopped parsley and stir one last time. Serve with corn bread and cheese.

Chili Dogs.

Prepare hot dogs however it says on the bag, preferably by boiling. Either steam or zap buns in microwave for like 30 seconds to get them warm.

while hot dogs are boiling, add one ladle-full of chili from the pot into a large saucepan. use a wooden spatula to gently push around chili until well reduced, about 10 minutes.

Once hot dogs are cooked and chili is reduced to the point that there is no visible liquid in the pan, assemble dogs with chili ladled on top and then put cheese on top of the chili to keep everything in place. Eat now and then regret later; as prepared these shits are just under 900 calories per dog fully dressed.
