Hey Saucy Ones,

HEY SORRY THIS IS A FEW HOURS LATE FOR WHATEVER REASON IT DID NOT PUBISH AS SCHEDULED

So the work on the Pathologic 3 video is going good, like really, really good. I am somehow moving faster than I did with the Abiotic Factor video despite this being a more critical, mechanics focus video which usually means it's a lot harder to edit. I initially planned on getting 25 minutes of finished product done while also getting other tasks taken care of (like this post) but I've actually been able to get over 35 minutes done per day without even rushing or otherwise compromise on quality and still get everything else I needed done. There's a good chance that the day you're reading this I'll be done with the assembly of the edit and be onto reviewing it.

That'll be nice because that means I'll also get a whole day to review it before uploading because based on the subject matter, I know that I'm gonna need to dot my i's and cross my t's. You guys will probably get it Friday, hopefully closer to the morning if I'm good on reviewing it, and then the main video will be out Saturday.

On other matters,

Oops, I made another multi-hour video and forgot about the second channel. I even had one planned for a couple weeks ago but I got some consumed with some... discoveries, that I didn't make it and and focused on the main channel. Getting other things done on top of the Pathologic 3 edit includes the video for the second channel this week and fingers crossed I'll have some lighter fare for everyone Thursday or Friday.

I've also gotten started writing one of the Halloween in July Videos and I plan to record and edit it next week. I've actually hit kind of a block on HiJ because one of the games was so spooky I had a hard time playing it. I moved onto other games though and now we're back on track. I'm had a great time with the game that I just finished and am now writing about and the game I'm playing now is also a certified classic. It's gonna be a good Halloween in July. Speaking of HiJ, I've also got a tentative list of all the rewards for the pledge-o-meter. Now I don't nearly expect to get all of these unlocked, hell I might do some later on even if we don't get that far. Take a look for yourself.

A big factor for why I wanna try this is because I have a very rare problem: I'm too good at getting yearly pledges. Most Patreon accounts try to strive for 25% yearly pledges if they can get that. I on the other hand have 75% of all my pledges as yearly which is GREAT on one hand, but on the other that means that my income is very lopsided: I get that 75% of my income all in about 2 months and then the rest of the year I'm getting about one quarter to one third of what it says I get month-to-month on my page. I'm legitimately considering hiding my income on my public Patreon page as it's misleading to the point that when I brought up the pledge drive in the discord someone was trying to insinuate that I'm being greedy and money grubbing. Fuck me for tryin to pay my bills from September to June I guess.

If all goes well the pledge-o-meter can help me even things out month to month. While the windfall I get from HiJ is amazing and I love making the aprons and patches, I also love a little more stability in my life. If you can, tell me about any of these reward ideas you like or anything you think would be better than others. Nothing's going to be finalized into a graphic until June so there's plenty of time and I want to focus on making the videos the best they can be.

That's all for now, stay saucy!

Oh also now that I manually posted this the Pathologic 3 video's edit is done. I'm on the fence about how early I'll release it though because I gotta come correct for this one.

I'm still bummed you couldnt take your patch or apron making machine with you when you moved. That could have been a regular character on the show

CharlatanWonder

Yeah like, it was one thing to get a printer and a heat press, but an embriodery machine capable to the throughput I'd need to produce patches at scale and embroider the names onto *all* the aprons costs as much as a used car, like a nice used car from carvana or something.

Dénes Hliva

I understand but my memory is failing me. Havent you bought a nice machine to make these things with, like 2-4 months before your move which you had to leave behind?

CharlatanWonder

No, I used a public maker space at a local college that also was the place that taught me how to machine embroider. I paid $60/month for access to the facility. The Machine I had access to, the Melco Bravo, costs $16,000 before accessories I'd need to make it do what I wanted and not including all the materials I need. No way I could afford that while we were on a single income while my wife was in school

CharlatanWonder

Yeah, like I'd love to actually own one some day, but that's not gonna be for a loooooong time as on top of being expensive you also need to put the thing that's as big as a refrigerator and weighs twice as much. Hell, I'd love to have a full workshop complete with a sticker printer/cutter and a Direct-to-Film transfer printer so I can press designs onto any color shirts I'd like. Some day.

Hey, things to aspire to. Maybe like five halloween in july's from now.
