Weekly Update: Early Videos for Patrons? (Patreon)

Hey everyone, how'd you like the Outlast video?

So I was looking into new things that might help further reward everyone here for their patronage and I've always liked how folks like Civvie release their videos early for patrons. I initially thought there was some way to do this with having a video be scheduled but unlisted but it seems that's  a calculation that's a liiiitle too spicy for the almighty YouTube Algorithm.

Well it turns out that Vimeo is still a thing and even though it costs money to host there, the amount they're asking for how much server space I'd be using is a nonissue so I think I might just set that up. I'm not sure that it'll be ready to go in time for the Penumbra video but who knows?

Now, just to make it crystal clear, anyone who pledges will be able to have this early access, even if you're a $1 patron. The real challenge here is for me to figure out how to alter my workflow so that I can get the videos out and ready in a reasonable amount of time that doesn't result in cutting corners. It should be too bad though, once I'm fully moved into my new apartment I'll have that office space where I won't have to work around whatever weird, loud thing my landlady is doing.

Speaking of Penumbra, that video is going surprisingly well: it's much more straightforward of a video than Outlast was and it isn't so raunchy that I have to stop playing every half hour or so. Crap I almost did all of Black Plague in one sitting. I've already got the outline done and by the time you're reading this I'll have written the script too and moved on to recording. Right now it's looking like I miiiiiiiiiiight have it out by next Saturday, but I'm not gonna make any promises.

As always, thank you all so much for your support, and I'll see you next video!
