"You're wrong, Doctor. I have life again. You destroyed my TARDIS, but I shall build another. Expect me on Gallifrey soon.", Omega, "Arc of Infinity" So the Renegade was Omega (from way back in season 10). It's nice to get a historical villian back. I guess we should thank fan/consultant Ian Levine, who apparently suggested Omega for the story. And really fun to have Peter getting to play the duplicate villian for a while in Part 4. And he gets to act wearing disgusting makeup (although by the stage of the evil sparking costume stuff it was Ian Collier again). I do like some of the location filming moments in Amsterdam: like when the Doctor has to methodically empty his pockets to try to find some change for the phone call. Incidentally, that scene at the phone box is when we can spot the producer, JNT, with an unplanned cameo in the background attempting to control the crowd of onlookers. I also like the moment with Nyssa and Tegan when the chef is knocked over and they attempts to help before the Doctor reminds them that unfortunately they can't help because they still have a vital search for Omega to make. Come on - this is a chase scene - Jess loves them - we have to continue the chase! And the quiet moment when the young boy pushes past Omega and that situation could be really bad situation - but the boy smiles and Omega smiles back. He's not purely a one-note villain here - he can enjoy having a body again. So you liked Maxil's feathered helmet? Colin gave it a name - Ermintrude. "Didn't I tell you? I got the sack. So you're stuck with me, aren't you.", Tegan, "Arc of Infinity" Yes, we're stuck with Tegan. Isn't that wonderful!!

Ermintrude is the name that Eric Thompson - Emma's dad - gave to the perpetually cheerful cow in the UK translation of The Magic Roundabout back in the 60s. I remember it well. Colin also would walk around with it under his arm making clucking noises. 🐔

Thanks for the info. I was aware of the name of the cow in The Magic Roundabout but didn't know of the Thompson link.
