Thomas Corp

Quite a lot to take in, like you said. No crying, so that’s something. If not the exact mid-season finale, it’s close to it, I would wager. I quite liked how you were very much the doubting Thomas about the visions being from God over the course of the first half of the season. And again, Sam, you, and I are noting that the options are getting smaller, much though you do not disagree with Dean about the visions. The timing of the burning bush was also suspect, namely the bush burning and the flames themselves looked too mundane for it to be the work of the almighty. Smart of the boys to check with Crowley about can they even get to Lucifer in the cage if that is indeed their only option, and Crowley notes it must be serious if the boys are asking him about that. Shared reaction to the line delivery of Crowley’s response to the curveball of God having relatives. I also rather love how Crowley quickly cut through Rowena’s bullshit by noting if she had any coven at her disposal, she’d have used it already, just as he assures her that he’s not wanting to kill her (today) or else she’d be dead already. You say of the players in the mix, you probably trust Crowley the most, which you noted is interesting. Makes you feel any better, Jess, I often trust Crowley the most in these situations. King of Hell, though he is, he’s fairly upfront about his intentions. Trick is to get everything he promises in VERY SPECIFIC writing, and have it verified by at least five separate third parties. And he would very much advocate that, yes, as you observe, Rowena CAN do what you ask her to do. Problem is, as Crowley would doubtlessly say, “You can’t trust the duplicitous bitch any more than you can throw her.” leading to Rowena being the peanut gallery by chiming in, “Well, with your bad knee, Fergus, you shouldn’t be throwing anyone.” Amara was having a day or two feasting on the souls. You highlighted that it was sad to see Amara suck out the priest’s soul. Tis a shame about the padre, as yes, he seemed a lovely sort. Quite liked that compliment that you imparted. More and more, Amara becomes very put out by God not showing himself to her. God doth have a sense of humor, plus, you know brothers, they always know how to push your buttons. Dean does seem to be safe as Amara seems very committed to dancing with him a masochistic tango in the pale moonlight. Be nice if Dean shared that piece of information. He does call her out on she basically is saying she wants to be God. And he made the move to stab her, fruitless though the attack was. It’s a nice effort though. Same with the angels, idiots though they were by being chivalrous by attacking one at a time. The trip to Hell goes about as nerve-wracking as one would expect. If Crowley is on edge, it’s bad. Contrast to Rowena practically tripping over her own tongue, so, yes, I would imagine that, as you said, Rowena would be greatly interested in Lucifer being inside her. (In more ways than one.) No apologies on that innuendo by the way. Sam saying the aesthetic suits Crowley; dark and empty. See, whilst you and Crowley reminded Sam exactly who’s saving whose bacon, so loved that laugh you had at that, if I were in Crowley’s place, I’d have simply replied, “Flattery will get you nowhere, Sam.” Leading us to the big scenes with Lucifer, leading to your anxiety going nuts. Gets worse when he pulls Sam in the cage and makes the big reveal. Said reveal makes me hear the phone ring as you called it. This also tells me that old Lucy-Goosey has not seen enough Bond films to know that you never drop the bombshell of the big dramatic reveal no matter how close you think you are to winning. He now has lost his leverage by telling Sam that, because now Sam is particularly disinclined to acquiesce to Lucifer’s request to play Pinnochio with him. For Lucifer is not his only hope. Very damning insult saying that he is no Obi-Wan, by the way. No, he is not. Ending with you saying that you would like to see Bobby in the next episode, and every episode, to be fair. That would be grand, yes. Charlie too. Thanks for the enjoyable reaction, Jess.
