I have no name

Cybermen don't have emotions so how would being angry make her more of a Cyberman?

Ryan

Fun tidbit: this episode originally was actually going to end with the regeneration to Thirteen, with Jodie Whittaker being sprung on the viewers as a total surprise. But then it turned out that due to some weird contract stuff, the show would never again be getting a Christmas special if they did that, so it was held off until then and we ended up getting the announcement half a year in advance. So if Twelve's refusal to regenerate seems like it comes a bit out of nowhere, that's why.

Jennifer Diaz

It wouldn't. Emotions overload their systems, which is why Bill accidentally sets off her laser and also why all the Cybermen's heads explode in The Age Of Steel.

Jason

Your kind of half right there but it's much simpler than that. Chris Chibnal didn't want to introduce his new series and Doctor in a Christmas episode. Filming was and did start in Nov of 2017 for a transmission aim of October 2018 revealed at the BBC Worldwide Showcase back in February 2018 to the industry but not the wider public. Once Chris announced that he wouldn't be doing a special Moffat was put into a position to do one more episode out of a personal duty and fear that giving up the Christmas slot for Doctor Who would be a shame for fans and damage DW going forward. Moffat has previously said he got the idea for TOAT from Comic-Con a year before during a Q+A after a discusion about the first Doctor and when Chris made his decision, boom an idea was formed. I don't blame Chris for not wanting to begin Jodies era with a Christmas special and potentially destroy the momentum till almost a year latet and very grateful that Moffat stepped in late in the day to save Xmas. You can tell that he put a lot of work and effort into S10 giving it a fresh feel and going out with a bang with this finale for himself and Peter and we can mostly agree he knocked it out of the park for this finale. As Doctor Who December is coming I'm sure the schedule feeling like I know Jess is already organised but I hate myself for not saying until now that I love a reaction to the extremely revealing interviews with Christel on the fan show were part of it. They were incredible interviews and offered a fascinating insight into Steven's time on the show. Starting with TWOAT and the 3 part discussion later on. 1 - https://youtu.be/bTRfKmVqdjo & the discussion of his tenure in Part 1 - https://youtu.be/iBwBlwGbVaA Part 2 - https://youtu.be/ZOfIIqb8Uhg & finally (The delayed for more than 6 months for some reason) Part 3 - https://youtu.be/styqnGNTffM I would love to see a reaction to these Jess or at least a video on the points raised in them and your final thoughts of what Steven says would be facinating considering how much you care for Moffat and how you will miss him as revealed in your recent monthly chat. Anybody else care to agree they would love to hear/See a reaction to them?? :-)

Mark McKeown

I enjoyed watching those when they came out. Don't think they're react worthy at all though, and even some of the stuff he says I think the most you'd say would be "oh that's cool", not really much to discuss. Just my 2 cents :)

Jason

I'm afraid I disagree. I think you need to watch them again Mark. So many talking points Tennant carrying on, Shona and Jenna leaving, Gallifrey, power ranger Daleks, split seasons, meeting Chris about the 50th, the alternative story of the 50th with just Jenna and no Matt, casting John Hurt, opinions on fandom and ownership and heaps more. I could write an article on them honestly!! I tend to choose the spoilers i look for and there were many surprises in these interviews. Some things brought up are either known or no real surprise but it's nice to hear Steven actually talk about them. I'd guess Jess doesn't know them considering how cautions she is on spoilers. I would watch a reaction to the interviews but perhaps even better would be a review of the interviews and I would love to hear Jess's opinion on all the interesting info in them. Like I said rewatch them there is sooo much to talk about and give an opinion on from them and it draws a line under everything before S11 :-)

Mark McKeown

There will always be something to talk about yeah, but it's a lot of work that doesn't fit within a regular series, as such. Maybe if monthly videos make a return it can be a suggestion then.

Jason

I've made contact with Jess. At least she knows and I think she will watch them and was excited by them but in her own time most likely. That's fine & I support whatever decision she makes as I'm sure DW Dec content has already been decided long long ago as she's super organised, they are a good watch though for everyone.
