Sorry this is late, I will try to get to as many questions as possible. Let me know if you have any questions for this month's Monthly Chat!

You asked what happened to Nardole. The theory is that Nardole and the others were found and either killed or upgraded by the Cybermen on the Mondassion colony ship just as The Master predicted would happen. This is backed up by his appearance as a Testimony avatar wearing exactly the same outfit he wore while leading the children away to safety. Clara's avatar was wearing the same outfit from Face the Raven. which must also mean she returned to Gallifrey at some point and finally died on the trap street.

You've made your feelings about Sun's brother and Lila more fairly clear over the course of Sense8, but you haven't said as much about Whispers. What are your thoughts on him as a villain?

I think that's a needlessly depressing thing to slip in right at the end of the story tbh. Anyway I believe there's a novelization of the story that contradicts this.

Doctor Who: What is your take on the First Doctor's patronizing attitude toward women in Twice Upon a Time? Like you, I haven't watched all of classic Who but even if the First Doctor behaved this way on TV in the 60s, would you feel it would be better to have retconned his personality as more of a Gallifrean than an old British guy in the 60s who's attitude had matured over 1500 years?

Are you looking forward to watching more of the First Doctor? Despite the sexist retconning,did you enjoy David Bradley's performance? Do you have an overall favourite story of the 12th Doctor?

I've seen quite a few of the 1st Doctor's stories and the he wasn’t sexist like David Bradley's 1st Doctor in any of them. This was just Moffat basically saying "The 60s were sexist weren't they"

I second that! The First Doctor was never sexist.He was often grumpy and short-tempered;but he cared for,and respected,all of his female companions.

I have four Doctor Who questions! Apologies for being greedy... I will try to keep them as short as possible, and feel free to pick and mix or ignore! 1) In last month's Q&A, someone asked what you hoped for from the Christmas special, and you jokingly said off the top of your head, "The Doctor shaking hands with a soldier!" I know this didn't *literally* happen in Twice Upon A Time, but thematically it to all intents and purposes did, and I wondered if that had come to mind at all while you were watching it? 2) I don't think you mentioned this in the reaction at all - was Pearl Mackie's name blurred out on the opening titles for the version you watched, or did you just happen to miss it? 3) As someone who has seen a bit of the First Doctor's era, what did you make of Steven Moffat's characterisation of him in the episode? I try never to be a "hater", but I have to admit I personally was disappointed by it. It was as if he'd been written as what someone thought an older male character in a 1960s TV show *might* have been like, rather than what the First Doctor was *actually* like. Which is surprising given that Moffat is an old-school fanboy and knows exactly what the First Doctor was like. It felt to me a shame that, having been part of such a celebration of William Hartnell's legacy in An Adventure in Space and Time, David Bradley was then part of this distortion of the character Hartnell had played. 4) Had you heard at all of the 1914 Christmas truce before this episode? It's a very well-known event in the UK so many viewers would have realised where this was going at the end, but I wasn't sure how well known that would have been in the US, especially as America didn't enter the war until later on?

I know you are super busy right now. Thank you for making this video and answering our questions. Broadchurch question, how do you feel about the lack of justice in regards to Joe? The Walking Dead Question(s), I know the show is just past the point of where you have read the comics so I am wondering what you knew about the whisperers going into this and what do you think of them now that we know a little more about them?

Hey Jess, hope I'm not too late Vikings: 1) Thoughts on the relationship development between Lagertha and Ecbert 2) Thoughts on Floki this season and how he seemingly keeps losing faith in Ragnar's judgement and decisions? And Ragnar's decisions in the first place? 3) How do you feel about Bjorn and Porunn so far? How she wanted to fight and how dismissive Ragnar is about Bjorn trying to look after her? 4) Thoughts on Harbard (Kevin Durand's character) who came and went, what do you think the deal with that character was? 5) And how do you feel in general about the storyline with the wives back in Kattegat, and Siggy being killed off? Apparently the actress wanted to be written off because of family problems, so the death was unplanned and last-minute. But despite that do you think it was a fitting death for the character? Doctor Who: 1) Knowing you weren't a big fan of him in the RTD era, how did you like John Simm in 10x12? Simm said that he wanted the play the character more like how he wanted to play it back in 2007 - with more nuance and not quite the pantomime villain he used to be. Also, what do you think about how Moffat writes RTD characters - with 10 in TDOTD and Simm's Master here? It seems like you kinda enjoyed the characters more than you did in their first appearances 2) Since it's the end of his tenure, maybe it'd be nice to reflect a little on Capaldi's era. What do you think about 12 now compared to your first impressions back in January? How did you feel about Capaldi's era overall? Did you like how the character developed over time? Did you like the outfit, TARDIS, portrayal etc? Also, really looking forward to DW December! The Walking Dead: 1) I know how much Rick's character means to you, so how do you feel about his exit episode? Do you think it was handled well, and how did you feel about the movie deal announcement? Also, and you don't have to, but maybe you'd like to talk about why the character means so much to you? 2) What do you feel regarding the 6-year time jump? Did you think it was a good idea after Rick's leaving? 3) Are you a fan of Judith so far? Do you think she represents those we've lost so far well? I really like the her and think the little actress is good too 4) Thoughts on the Whisperers so far and how they've been introduced in the past few episodes? Do you think they're successfully creepy? Do you think they made walkers scary again? And how do you think they compare to the show's previous villains? 5) How do you feel about Jesus being killed off in the MSF? That dodge caught me off-guard, I don't know about you. And were you a fan of the character? Tom Payne's come out saying he sometimes thought the character was underutilised in the show, especially compared to his comic counterpart - I don't know if you feel the same way he does? Broadchurch: 1) First of all, S3 wasn't originally planned to happen after S2, coming out three years after. So, do you feel like it was necessary in the end? Do you think it was a good continuation of the characters? 2) How did you like the resolution to the main Trish storyline, with a different twist on the "guilty" character than the past two seasons. 3) How'd you feel about the storylines of the other characters from the older seasons this season? The Latimers, Paul, and Maggie. Did you like the story following these characters this season as well as Hardy and Miller? Especially since not many other characters from S1 or 2 returned? Sense8: Firstly, just thank you for watching this show, it was great. I don't have much to ask except maybe you'd like to talk about the characters in our cluster and what do you love about each of them. So; Will, Riley, Sun, Lito, Capheus, Nomi, Kala, and Wolfgang? Secondly, did you think the finale did a good job of tying everything together, and do you want a season 3?

Hi Jess! I come from a big military family, so like you I was kinda pissed off with certain aspects of season 8 of Doctor Who. Do you think Twice Upon a Christmas redeemed 12 for his attitude towards soldiers? I personally think it did, and absolutely loved the scenes on the battlefield. Also just a general question/statement, I know you have like a million shows you are watching and reacting to right now, but if you ever get the chance you should check out Star Wars: The Clone Wars. It’s an incredible animated series, with some really emotional arcs and character development which I think you would love, I know I would love to see you react to it. Anyway keep up the awesome work, stoked for Doctor Who December and some classic Who reactions! Geronimo!
