Red Hunter

Nice to see someone who also enjoyed this episode. Sure it wasn’t a mind blowing episode, but it was fun

Steven Cooper

My immediate reaction after I first watched "Tsuranga" was that it was basically a Red Dwarf episode without the jokes. You could easily swap Lister and the gang for our four regulars; Red Dwarf did the male-pregnancy gag at least twice, while the P'Ting would fit right alongside aliens like the Polymorph rampaging through the ship. The episode also shares Red Dwarf's tendency to resort to big lumps of exposition to set up its sci-fi situation, which makes the first half drag somewhat. Fortunately, there's some good character work going on throughout, which it was great to see you picking up on and enjoying. I really liked how Jodie played the moment where the Doctor is brought up short by space-Lito and realises that she is, in fact, being unreasonable. I suspect that with previous Doctors, there would have been a lot more shouting in that scene... :-)
