Thank you for this month, Jess. It has been an absolute joy. Have a really nice break!

It's so much less crowded here than on the YT comment section...so let me just say a sincere THANK YOU for 1) Dr Who December (a month where you brilliantly provided something for everyone!);and 2) all your reactions. They're entertaining (often more than the episodes themselves);moving;funny;and perceptive. Have a great month off - see you sometime in February. Oh,and Happy New Year!

I've kept my thoughts on the Series to myself so as to have zero impact on your opinion/expectations. So now I can say that I disliked this series, and it is in my opinion the weakest of the modern run,and almost entirely because of the writing. I could go into so much detail, but I'll just say I thought the series was lazy and uninspired. I though Jodie was decent, but perhaps lacked the depth of past Doctors (though there is still chance for this to change). I also feel that 3 companions is too many, and they should get rid of Yaz, as she hasn't done much this series, she's just sort of been there, and that's it. Nevertheless thank you for your efforts, and a great December :D

Sorry I haven't had time to comment before, but thank you for another Doctor Who December! You put a lot of work into it and it shows. You made a lot of people happy with it. It's been great to be able to look forward to a Sesska/Doctor Who related video every day! Have a wonderful new year and enjoy your much-needed break! Looking forward to more sesskasays in 2019!

I have liked the stories, but they haven't been "enough." I feel like Chibnall can't write women. Moffat's women were all crazy and complicated but at least they were interesting. The only interesting people are the two men: Graham and Ryan, because they share a relationship and grew during the series. Yaz, as you said, has been given nothing. Her grandma's story was sad and interesting, but it didn't really affect Yaz that much. Just gave her a reason to stick around. The same with the Doctor, it's like because she's a woman now, Chibnall doesn't know what to do with her. Jodie is fine and likable enough, I always like the Doctor, no matter who plays him/her, but the Doctor has had no real angst this year. She's very cerebral and mostly chipper, and on the New Year's Special, when she gave the Dalek one last chance because "I'm really, really nice" I thought that's it, in a nutshell. Women are always told to be "nice." And now that the Doctor is a woman, they've made her nice. When the Doctor has always had an edge. (In the Honest Trailers, they said he was a bit of a dick, and I concur). Sooooo they have to give her some darkness and edge and a personal storyline so that she can be emotionally affected. Nine and Ten and Eleven were all haunted by their past. This one is not haunted at all, and maybe she should be--make her pine for her real "fam" or SOMETHING. There should be some kind of storyline that is the Doctor's arc. It's also missing a magical element, that the past series had. I think the stories are good and make you think, but they are not magical or mind-blowing. They need greater depth and character development. And man-oh-man I miss Murray Gold!!
