One pretty odd adaptation note: in the books, Radovid is Vizimir's son rather than his brother, which was obviously changed so he wouldn't have a creepy age difference with Jaskier. And on that note, Book Radovid is not only firmly heterosexual but married to Princess Adda, ie the incestuous daughter who Geralt saved from being a monster back in Season 1. And I'm honestly perfectly fine with all this. The books are good, but not so good that I'm overly attached to their version of the story (and honestly all the villains kind of blend together after a while so it's impossible to care which one Geralt is currently having to deal with), and this angle is very interesting on its own and I look forward to seeing what else they do with it.
