"I have watched you and your jackdaw meanderings. I know you and I know here is a want of patience in your nature", "That's right! Fools rush in ...", "Exactly.", The Shadow and the Doctor, "The Armageddon Factor". Well, it is a bit tedious continuously wandering around studio corridor sets. I know it wouldn't fit into the story here but a nice on-location scene or two now and again would have been nice. Shapp: is he being played too much for comedy? I do like him, but I think he probably is. Although I do like that interaction with the Doctor as he raises objections to why he won't be able to convince the Marshal. When the Doctor is sonicing the computer, a spark from one of the pyro charges hits Mary. But these Classic Who actors just keep on acting! It's nice to see Pat Gorman as the Marshal's Pilot - a stalwart Classic Who actor in various minor roles going all the way back to "The Dalek Invasion of Earth" and seen recently as the guard who got stunned by K9 in "The Ribos Operation". The business about creating an artificial sixth segment and using it to generate a temporary time-loop to pause the Marshal's attack is quite a nice idea. But K9 is far too trusting here. Come on, K9. It's the second time this story that you've been lured away from what you should be doing. There was joke scene, intended for the BBC gag tape, filmed during this story. (Although, I'm not sure whether it was filmed during these two parts or later.) It has the Doctor, Romana and K9 celebrating Christmas. I don't know you're planning another short clips reaction video, but if you haven't seen it ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uaUCrHnT13c "I've stopped the universe. Still, they'll never notice.", The Doctor, "The Armageddon Factor".
