I’m with you on loving a Jody episode. Always great to see Kim be great. I hear what you’re saying about the being taken thing being more unsettling. You’ve mentioned your claustrophobia/fear of being unable to escape. Such an episode as this would get to you some, as did the scene with the nails, I knew you would NOT like that one. The plot of this was... interesting. I think I would have liked it better if it hadn’t been played for laughes as it was. Certainly, I would have liked it more had Dean not driven me up a wall in this episode. I was sounding like Walter in The Big Lebowski, saying, “Shut the fuck up, Dean.” which got worse when he starts flirting with the adult film star, leading me to get more frustrated, yelling, “Shut the FUCK up, Dean.” All of Dean’s scenes in this, I’m saying, “You need years of therapy, Dean. Many, many, MANY years of therapy.” If I were Sam, I’d have been tempted to deck Dean when he readily agrees with Sam’s assessment of his love life. I chimed in, “You didn’t have to happily concur that enthusiastically, you dick.” I lived for you getting protective of Jody, and when you cheered Jody on when she was serving the sass. Sucks for Sam hearing from the villain of the week about his liver being no good, he’s all duck-tape and safety-pins inside, and the villain questioning how he’s even still alive, to which, I said, “One of the more creative ways I’ve been called out in a tv show, well done.” I felt for Sam when he expressed his belief of what if it’s just him, that he’s starting to think he’ll never reach a point where he’s ever better. That hit a little close to home. Concerning Zeke, yeah, he’s up to something. At this point, something smells VERY rotten in the state of Denmark with him. Another small highlight was when you made the comment on the one guy telling Dean to mind his own beeswax. When you made the comment, I got a touch confused, and said, “What? People don’t say “beeswax” anymore?” A fun Supernatural reaction, Jess, thanks.
