Adric is pretty much a precursor to Wesley Crusher, both in how the fans despised him during his entire time on the show for being a teen nerd who was only there as a cheap way to make technobabble solutions to every problem, and in how he's gotten a lot of popularity since once we found out how cool the actor is.

i did wonder if you would recognize the name Adric

"Why can't people be nice to one another, just for a change?", The Doctor, "Full Circle" This is an interesting setup for a story. And the author, Andrew Smith, was only seventeen years old. Nice references to "The Invasion of Time" with callbacks to Leela, Andred and the K9 that was left behind. And then we have the reference to "The Key to Time" season. Romana's negative reaction to being asked to return is touching. And we see her room in the TARDIS. BTW: we've heard those coordinates for Gallifrey before. It was mentioned in "Pyramids of Mars" but it's probably more memorable to me as part of the lie that Missy told the Doctor when she said that Gallifrey had returned to its original coordinates in "Death in Heaven". The concept of the negative coordinates was a JNT idea which is an interesting idea. However, the original name of this planet would have been "Yerfillag" - and that would have just been silly. We've seen Decider Nefred, James Bree, before. He was the Security Chief in the War Games. And it's nice to see George Baker in Doctor Who. I remember him from his role in "I, Claudius". BTW: I'm hoping to see someone do a reaction to that classic BBC series (not a reaction suggestion - it probably wouldn't win any votes) - Sian Phillips is astonishing in it. The people doing maintenance on the ship reminds me a bit of the first episode of "Red Dwarf" - with Rimmer and his clipboard. No studio audience here though - this is serious SF. THE MARSHMEN KNOCKED K9's HEAD OFF!!

"I, Clavdivs" - my favourite drama series, second to proper Doctor Who of course. George Baker makes a captivating Tiberius, but then all the cast are simply stunning. From Brian Blessed to Derek Jacobi, right the way to (almost!) a baby Patrick Stewart. And Sian Phillips' Livia... "Don't eat the figss..." I'd definitely vote for it, but it might be a little tough chewing for a reaction.

It's great to find another fan of "I, Claudius". If we're listing actors, we should also mention Patricia ("Magenta") Quinn and John ("Gimli") Rhys-Davies. Lots of Classic Who alums like Bruce Purchase, Stratford Johns, John Bennett (are we allowed to mention John Bennett on this channel?) And Patrick Stewart has hair! I'm going throw out another series that I adore to see if there are any likes for that too: For me, the series of the 60s is Classic Who (and the 70s and 80s of course). The series of the 70s would be "I, Claudius". And the series of the 80s is "The Beiderbecke Trilogy".

I've just noticed that James Bree (who was in "Full Circle") was also in an episode of "I, Claudius" - one that had George Baker in it.
