Many of the dishes in Osechi can be stored for a long time, so that families can take a break from household chores.

・それぞれの料理には、縁起の良い意味がある
Each dish has a different meaning, that is said to bring a certain type of good　fortune.

・おせちは「重箱」と呼ばれる専用の弁当箱に収納される
The Osechi are stored in a special bento box called Juubako.
