Hi,

in Version 2.55 there will be content requiring the Holodeck, namely Vee's Chief Pet License Acquisition Course (where she can train other Crew members to get her Chief/Expert Pet License..)In that context I noticed that except for the Castle the Holodeck is underutilized. Therefore I considered a few possible extensions and would like to get your thought on which one you'd prefer.

The content with Vee will come in any case, but depending on what the Poll yields I might at last properly refactor the Holodeck code to make it more flexible.

Crew pony racing track with weekly leaderboard for crew having to be penalized for the next week for losing or getting a a privilege for winning would be neat. Free uniform selection for the winner outside of krell space and lower forced into pony or pet costume. Something like that.

In general, a simple setting where you can meet crewmembers when they are not showing on the map (just like random encounters). Casual stuff like: beach, pool, disco, restaurant, theater, tennis court, garden, tentacle monster pit… That would allow for new holodeck cards when you feel like it and. Could be nice to assign a bot to work there too (to bring cocktails while sunbathing for instance).

While pony races sound good. But I'm a perv who thinks there should be more sex scene in the holodeck. With like the news caster and others that are not in the crew. Or maybe some pirate novel adventures the doctor would like.

Any of the above, but maybe a hidden scenario or two where we can see into the id of a a crew member or two. Like finding Nimhe’s handcuff practices in the regular game flow. Which of course allows the Captain, ever supportive, to say “I can help you with that.”

So basically, Vee is working to her certification for Pet Platoon Sergeant. She will need some kind of classroom for teaching orientation (not the full course, just an intro) to all the advanced pet specialties. She will need space for a limited amount hands on training like a dungeon for bondage pets, a training yard (if not full race track) for pony pets, etc. She will also need space for remedial training for basic pet skills like grooming and presentation. This has potential to be the last episode. Imagine: Vee colludes with the rest of the crew (the pets) and leads a mutiny. Jim goes out the nearest convenient airlock. The next game release version is, V3.0 subtitled "VEE SWARM: The Early Years!" Probably won't happen, but I am hoping to at least find out about that swarm monitoring device in the second deck companionway.

I'm both for the pony and the beach, so let it be random. You could also make the holodeck have virtuals npc, that sometimes crash.
