This is all so intriguing! I’ve got a lot of mixed feelings, aside from the ones about Piet still dating Thea. For the longest time I was rooting for Lukas, but lately I’ve been wondering if that relationship is beyond repair (the fault being on Piet…) Henry is a good guy—one of the most genuinely kind characters in this story, not to mention mature and responsible. It’s made me wonder what attracts him to Piet, who has a lot of things to sort out. It’s clear from this conversation that Henry has a positive influence on Piet, helping him open up and face his fears, but that may make their relationship unbalanced. One thing about Henry I’ve been stuck on is what he feels about Levi’s kiss. We’ve never seen his inner thoughts on it! I can’t say I want them together, at least right now. Their age difference is one thing, but on top of that there’s the mentor-mentee dynamic that feels inappropriate. The impression I’ve gotten is that Levi is infatuated and deeply admires Henry, but Henry has always felt more like the older brother Levi never had in Piet. I think each of their reactions to that kiss are telling. Regardless, it’ll have to come up if Piet and Henry really do start dating. One thing gets resolved and ten more get messy😆 That’s the joy of this series!
