Poor nick indeed. I Must say this is a difficult topic executed well. Rather than just making the offender an all around evil monster, he’s just a regular dude who did something really heinous and is regretting it big time. But more interestingly, it’s nick’s reaction to all this that has caught my eye. Rather than some straightforward narrative of him suffering temporarily and ending in a nice wrapped up conclusion, it leaves the idea that Nick will forever struggle with this for the rest of his life. His idea of relationships and his attractions have been completely entangled into a giant cluster f***. Him not knowing how to confront this issue has lead to him bottle up his emotions which usually explodes in anger. And when he does confront it(this last panel) he’s having a total meltdown. But most tragically he was robbed of his innocence too soon. He can’t relate to his peers anymore leading to a lonelier life.
