Hmmm that shot of Piet’s high tops… either Thea didn’t see them, or she didn’t want a picture with him? Anyway. I’m so ready for Piet’s guilt arc, he’s got some of the most growing to do and it will be really satisfying to see. I can relate on the gay-and-religious sentiment, but is that really where Piet’s mind is? I can’t recall the Tannenbergers ever being shown as particularly religious or observant. Maybe his guilt is more for cheating than for kissing a boy? Then again, he’s clearly had lots of internalized homophobia over the story. Several other characters too. Maybe it IS religious. Or cultural? I dunno, just thinking out loud! Life’s been life-ing and I’m catching up on a ton of updates, it’s a nice treat.
