Transformers in D I S G U I S E

Made this sequence a year ago to experiment with a new model, but scrapped it because there's no real flow between the stages, even though I liked each panel individually.

But decided to see if Veo could actually connect the stages a bit better.

The answer is... "an attempt was made"

Honestly the first six seconds is pretty good as far as AI transformations go I think, but the second stage is probably not gonna be viable for like at least six months.

I’ve seen grok do some pretty impressive form transformations but really we need to be able to put a start frame and an end frame because when the AI is just on its own the way it tries to get between Tuesday stages is really wonky. I feel like if I had a target, I could make a smoother transition because it could make some smooth transitions to really out there forms and I could definitely send you some examples but without having some level of control on the end point it’s still gonna be funky. Though I will laugh at the idea that prime turns into a cute girl and it’s probably still like 10 stories tall

This one is interesting, because I did use start frames and end frames in Veo 3.1 fast -- that's why the first half of this animation I think looks so good, and actually the truck-robot transformation is relatively solid, with the final frame ending up pretty solid. I did a few variations of the end-frame, but no animation model does perspective movement as the central character gets 'smaller' very well at all -- and so even *with* an endframe in Veo 3.1, it still does this rather goofy thing of her ending up as a 10 story tall woman.
