Chapter #41: Destruction.

Harry was walking on his safe house, the place where his team of researchers and investigators were staying, it has been some time since the last time he saw them, but it was time to see if they finished the project, if they haven't, then he was just going to attack the death eaters without it, but if they did then, it would be great to add the device to his arsenal.

“Mr. Potter,” an older witch saw him and smiled.

“Yes, miss?” Harry asked with a soft smile.

“Amanda Smith,” she answered without hesitation.

“Are you related to Zacharias Smith?” Harry was surprised.

“Yes, he’s my nephew, but that’s not why I want to speak with you, the project is done, it has been tested, and it’s ready to be used,” the witch said with an excited tone.

Harry was surprised by how quickly they worked, and soon, he nodded, this was going to be good.

“It really works?” Asked Harry with a surprised expression.

“I tested it myself, and it takes a lot of magic but…I think it’s worth it. In my case, it didn’t last for too long, but I’m sure that stronger wizards like you would be able to do more incredible things,” the witch added with a happy smile.

“You’ve done great, guys, I would like to take it with me now that we’re heading for the final attack, of course, all of you guys already endured enough, so, you’re staying here, please keep working on the other projects on my list,” Harry told her with a calm expression.

He doesn’t know when she became the unofficial manager of projects, but he was happy that he would only speak with one of them, as he doesn’t have too much time to engage with them, the final battle will start soon, he needed to get ready.

“But…Mr. Potter, we—” The woman tried to argue, but Harry stopped her.

“In case I don’t make it, a house elf is going to bring you a series of documents filled with my future projects, I want you guys to make them a reality…The world needs you guys, your lives are essential to keep the spirit of progress that this world has been denied for far too long, that’s why all of you should survive!” Harry tried to make the woman understand.

It seems she still wanted to argue, Sirius would’ve made a joke about how women like to nag men if he were in his situation; however, she wiped a tear from her eye and soon nodded.

“If that’s your wish, Mr. Potter, we’re going to continue your legacy, but please…Try to make it back to us,” she begged him with a worried expression.

Harry was surprised she was so concerned about him, but soon, she presented him with the thing he came for, it was wrapped in a small box, and soon, he took it with him, he already knew what it was, so, there was no need to show it right now.

“Thank you so much for everything, please tell the guys everything I told you. I wish I could stay and speak longer with you guys, but…The battle is about to start, and I can’t afford to see all of them. Please tell them that I’m sorry for coming in such a rush and that I’m grateful for their work,” Harry told the woman with a calm expression.

She nodded and soon, they said their goodbyes, the time was near, so, he decided to get back to Potter manor. He felt bad because they were soon going to forget about making this device; it was part of the contract they signed, and this item was far too dangerous for anyone to know how to build it. Once he arrived at Potter Manor, he was surprised to find a commotion; everyone was speaking at the same time.

“Harry!” His girlfriend said before she grabbed his hand.

“Tonks, what’s going on?” Harry was confused about this whole situation.

“It’s Kingsley, he came back with good news, it seems like now Lucius is going to support us, he thinks that Bellatrix delivered the message, and the dark lord didn’t give a fuck, he was too angry, and now, he wants to support us to bring the government down!” Tonks couldn’t believe it.

It took a few seconds for Harry to process everything he heard, and when he did, his eyes opened wide.

“Fuck…We need to get going!” Harry told Tonks, and soon everyone heard him.

His family and the rest of the adults around Kingsley looked at him with concerned expressions.

“Harry, what is—” Lily tried to find what was wrong, but Harry spoke first.

“People…We need to get going right now if we want our plan to succeed. I’m sure that at this moment the dark lord knows his puppet minister did something he wasn’t supposed to, let’s get into the ministry, I’m sure we’re going to find Voldemort and his followers in the ministry!” Harry’s words caused everyone to gasp.

They realized his words made sense, and now, they felt guilty because they’ve been losing time instead of going to the ministry at once.

“It’s time, everyone, get your wands ready!” James called for the arms.

Soon, everyone got ready, and Harry hugged his family, wishing them luck.

“Please, everyone, please come back home in one piece,” Harry almost begged them.

“We’ll do, son…But first, I’d like to tell you that I’m sorry for the way we’ve treated you. Your brilliant mind should never have been restricted. Once this is over, I’m going to finance all your projects,” James assured him before hugging him.

“I’m sorry too, Harry. We’ll set up a business; the world needs to know about your inventions,” Lily hugged him, too.

“Hey man…I know I haven’t been the best older brother, but I can assure you one thing: you’re always going to have my support. Please be careful out there,” Henry said before he hugged Harry.

“I love you all, please be safe out there,” Harry told them, and they nodded before apparating away.

Then it was time for him to face his girlfriend. Tonks was looking at him with a concerned expression, but this is the life they chose.

“If I don’t make it, please, I want you to move on and don’t close your heart because any woman would be lucky to be with you. I love you,” Tonks then kissed him.

“If I don’t make it, I want you to continue being your happy bubbly self who cheers up everyone. The world needs people like you, Tonks, I love you,” soon, they shared a kiss.

It was time to get to the ministry, they arrived with their hands entwined, and then, they parted ways. They heard an explosion inside the ministry. It was time to finally face Voldemort and bring him down; they managed to get rid of the first soldiers, and the Aurors were also taking care of many of Voldemort's forces.

Overall, this wasn’t a complex battle, but Voldemort had the advantage of the numbers; a lot of Voldemort’s cannon fodder was there. At some point, Harry's forces finally reached the central office of the ministry, where all the departments are connected.

“Lucius, you’ve been nothing but a disgrace…It’s time for you to go,” Voldemort said, but then, he was attacked by Draco.

“Leave my father alone, you crazy bastard, son of a muggle and a squib!” Draco said angrily.

Soon, his followers were glaring at their former comrade. Of course, the attack had zero effect on Voldemort.

“Well, it seems like we’re not alone…” Voldemort smirked.

Meanwhile, Sirius was sneaking so he could kill the snake, but then, the floor started to glow.

“Move everyone—” Harry couldn't finish.

Soon, everything was blown up.
