Chapter #10: Apocalyptic dreams.
Harry was looking at Hermione Granger, his best friend with anxiety, she was coming out of a pensive after watching the memory of his dream, he indeed swore he wasn’t going to tell anyone about what he was going through, however, as far as he knows, Hermione thinks that what she just saw was a dream and not a memory, so, he was still carrying the burden by himself.
“So… What do you think?” Asked Harry with a serious expression. “Do you recognize the voice of that person?” Asked the dark-haired wizard with an expectant expression.
Hermione remained silent, but then, she sighed and looked at her best friend with a serious expression.
“No, Harry… I don’t recognize that voice. I know you feel like you’re maybe having a prophetic dream, but even by magical standards, that’s something very rare,” Hermione paused.
Then she grabbed a book about magic and dreams.
“Very few people have a true divination ability, and even then, a very small fraction of those people can have prophetic dreams, the last dreamer known by schoolars lived almost three centuries ago, it was a witch who predicted the independece of the American continent, so, you should feel relieved that you’re not watching a scene from the future especially considering that future is very scary,” Hermione tried to make him feel better.
Harry analyzed his best friend’s words, and what she said made sense; however, the most important thing was for him to know if she recognized that voice. He needed to show this to all the people he knew.
“I’m sorry for bothering you, Hermione, I think I’m just going insane…” Harry couldn’t help but say in an embarrassed tone.
The reality was that he was frustrated, the only way to find who that person was is by asking random people, but that method is going to take him forever, there might be a way though, maybe if he recorded people’s voices and compared them with the one in his dream using A.I. he could find a match but that was harder to do than say.
Hermione was about to say something else when suddenly, the main door of her home was opened, and Harry felt tense seeing the person who just entered. It was Bellatrix, but she was sane and normal; she wasn’t the same crazy person he was used to.
Sirius was alive, and he and Bellatrix got along, which wasn't surprising because they were very similar. The most surprising thing was that she was dating Hermione, a Muggleborn, something that wouldn’t have been possible in his real world; no matter how difficult the circumstances were, Bellatrix would’ve preferred to die before going out with Hermione.
“Oh, Bella, you’re back,” Hermione said with a relieved tone.
She slowly walked towards the older witch and then gave her a soft kiss.
“Bellatrix…” Harry said with a polite tone.
“Well, what do we have here... It's James' spawn,” she mocked him.
It infuriated him that she did that because it reminded him of when she was mocking him after she killed Sirius; however, he decided to remain calm. This wasn’t the Bellatrix he was used to; he needed to think clearly before doing something stupid. Hermione could only sigh at her girlfriend’s antics.
For some reason, there was always tension between Harry and Bellatrix. Hermione believed that it was because the two of them were similar; on the other hand, she also felt like the older witch was jealous of their relationship, after all, they’ve been friends for a long time.
However, Hermione has assured her that she would never betray her with a man, and least of all, with Harry, her best friend and the person she has known for a long time. In the end, Hermione could only sigh.
“Quit it, Bella,” Hermione scolded her girlfriend.
The older witch only rolled her eyes.
“I'd better get going, I need to visit other people to know if they have the information I have,” Harry took this as his cue to get the fuck out of this house.
He knew that if he stayed for too long, he was going to do something crazy that would land him in Azkaban because in this world, Bellatrix wasn’t the insane lunatic he was used to, and the one who he had wanted to kill since she killed Sirius.
“Don’t cry victory yet, Potter, remember that we’re part of the same division at the Auror department, Hermione can’t protect you there!” The older witch smirked, and Harry rolled his eyes.
“Yes… See you at work, Lady Black,” Harry said with a smug tone before saying goodbye to Hermione and Bella.
Bellatrix gritted her teeth after she was called a lady; she hated it when people did that; however, once Harry was gone, she prepared herself for what was about to come.
“What was that? Why are you two always treating each other as if you were enemies? You two are the people I love the most, aside from my parents, of course, so I don’t know why you keep doing this, Bella,” Hermione said with a disappointed tone.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about, love,” Bellatrix tried to play it dumb.
Hermione could only sigh.
“What did he come for anyway? He doesn’t visit unless he wants something from you these days,” Bellatrix complained.
“He wanted to ask me if I recognized a voice, of course, I didn’t, and that’s the end,” Hermione told her girlfriend, who looked at her with a curious expression.
“Can I listen to it?” Asked the brown-haired witch.
“Go ahead, it’s in your Pensieve,” Hermione encouraged Bellatrix, and soon, she started to watch the memory that was on.
When she finished, she looked at Hermione with a shocked expression.
“That movie looks great,” she joked around.
“Do you recognize the voice at the end of the person who is laughing like crazy?” Hermione wanted to help her friend.
Hermione didn’t know why, but she felt like there was more behind that memory.
“No, I’m sorry, I have no idea who that person was,” Bellatrix admitted with a weak smile.
Hermione sighed but nodded and accepted defeat. Still, she remained thoughtful for a while until she felt Bellatrix kissing the back of her neck.
“Come on… It’s too early,” Hermione tried to suppress the smile from her face as she felt her girlfriend’s tongue on it.
Bellatrix surprisingly stopped.
“I’m sorry, I have a lot of things on my mind. I don’t think I’ll be able to focus. We’ll make love later, okay?” Hermione suggested, but Bellatrix didn’t say anything.
Hermione continued to be lost in her thoughts, and then the older witch decided to kiss her cheek, which caused Hermione to look at Bellatrix instantly.
“Bella I—” Hermione couldn’t finish because she then saw a naked Bellatrix standing in front of her.
“What the—” The brown-haired witch couldn’t believe it.
“I’m sorry for distracting you, love, I guess I'd better leave you there with your thoughts, but…” Bellatrix said in an innocent tone.
Hermione couldn’t help but gulp.
“You can save that for later and join me,” Bellatrix winked at her, and soon, she went to her room.
Hermione couldn’t stop staring at Bella’s rear. The way it was moving was amazing. She wanted to bury her face in Bella’s rear, but she was worried about Harry's dream; she was feeling conflicted right now.
“You know what? I worked a lot today, I deserve an early prize,” Hermione declared.
Soon she followed Bellatrix to their room as if her life depended on it.
