Chapter #19: Duels are fun.

Harry had to face Draco Malfoy in a duel, and the dark-haired wizard didn’t know what to do. On one hand, it would be sweet to humiliate this piece of shit in front of everyone who respected him with a show of power that would teach anyone to never mess with him again.

However, on the other hand, that would cause the world to pay attention to him, it will give him the wrong type of attention, an idea he was loathing because it would be because of his power and not because of awesome things like his quidditch skills, so, he needed to find a way to make things look like he’s being lucky or that Malfoy was incompetent (which actually was a reality).

“Wands ready!” Tonks ordered. “At the count of three… One, two, and three!” She said with an enthusiastic tone.

“I fucked your mom!” Harry screamed, and that took Malfoy by surprise. “Expelliarmus!” Harry declared, and soon, the blonde was disarmed.

He knew Narcissa was a weak spot for the blonde ponce, and Harry didn’t hesitate to use that to win. People always say shit like this when they play video games online. Well, they will say that in the future, so he knew it was a good idea to use something like that to make your enemy lose their focus, and so, Harry didn’t hesitate to do it.

“I won!” Harry said with a calm tone.

“It’s not fair, he said something wrong about my mother… I’m going to kill him!” Draco raised his wand, but he was stopped by the professor.

“You won’t do such a thing… Everything is valid in love and war. When you face an enemy, they’re not going to be courteous before killing you; they’re going to do everything in their power to have an advantage over you. What Harry said are just words, get over it and keep going with your life,” Tonks warned the blonde. “Ten points to Gryffindor for the creativity,” she winked at Harry, who smiled at her.

“I challenge you again!” Draco demanded.

“Let's stop... I—I was just lucky,” Harry pretended to be weak.

“Well, your minute is not over… Let’s see what else you two can show,” Tonks ordered.

But this had more to do with the fact that she wanted to see Harry’s battle skills so she could report them to Dumbledore. Hermione was grateful that she did it because she also wanted to observe; it didn't matter if she knew Tonks was a spy too; she wanted to gather information, too. Harry sighed in defeat. Although he was internally grateful, it was a great opportunity to further humiliate the blonde.

They got into battle positions again, and when the battle started, this time Harry decided to make Malfoy’s pants disappear. He was just wearing white undies, and people couldn’t help but laugh at his small bulge, which caused him to cover his crotch, but Harry took the opportunity to disarm him again.

“It’s not fair!” Malfoy complained.

“Battles aren’t fair!” Tonks reminded him. “Go again,” Tonks demanded.

Malfoy’s eyes were full of anger. Now, he was ready to do something far more dangerous. Harry didn’t need to read his mind to know that; he should let him do it and see how the staff will deal with him, because Dumbledore thinks he's a threat. If Malfoy kills him, Harry thinks Dumbledore is going to turn him into a national hero, that's for sure.

“Go!” Tonks ordered.

And just like Harry expected, he used a cutting hex that Harry intentionally barely avoided in matrix style as he wanted to look cool, or something like that. He never watched the movie, but he saw many clips with the battle scenes on YouTube... Or he will see them in the future. Merlin, it was complicated to figure out how to talk about his future.

Harry decided to run as Malfoy kept launching spells, however, Malfoy realized too late that there was something wrong with his feet as he tried to turn around to follow Dursley who was circling him, his shoes were stuck on the floor and he had no idea when Dursley did that and so he was desperately launching spells everywhere behind him as he was sure Dursley was in one place because he was making no noise.

“I’m going to catch you, you coward!” Malfoy declared with confidence.

“Draco, careful—” Zabini tried to warn him.

However, it was too late; Harry finally attacked, and he was successful. He attacked in a place that, regardless of whether you’re a wizard or a muggle, if you get hit there, you’ll be defeated instantly. Harry had kicked his crotch from behind, and so, the blonde decided to finally surrender as he lost consciousness because of the kick.

“Oh, Merlin… I think I went too far!” Harry said with fake worry.

Tonks looked at the scene, and she couldn’t help but sigh. With a flick of her wand, she managed to make Malfoy recover. She was also a bit disappointed because Harry didn’t show the incredible and dark power she was expecting from him, because of what Dumbledore said about him.

She couldn’t help but think that his magic was more like a fun game; even if he truly caused pain to his opponent, he did it in a way that would look fun for an outsider, which was something that may look innocent, but it could also be disturbing in a certain way.

“Well done, Dursley,” Tonks told him with a proud smile. "Great use of the silencing charm on your shoes," she added, still smiling.

She knew he was hiding something. After all, Dumbledore told her that he was supposed to destroy the world; the curse will eventually make him do that; he was hiding an incredible power, and yet, even though she should be scared, it was all the opposite; she was actually very interested in uncovering what he was hiding.

“It was just pure luck, really, I didn’t expect him to get paralyzed like that,” she said as he caressed the back of his head in embarrassment.

Yes, it was very suspicious how Malfoy didn’t turn around. She wanted to believe that he did something to make the blonde get stuck, but she never saw him doing anything to achieve that. The only answer would be imaginary casting, but that’s a skill that’s used more for distraction rather than in battle because you cannot do much with it.

Even Dumbledore’s imaginary casting skills were limited to pulling chairs more of the time, so there was no way that someone like Harry Dursley would do something like that. She observed him as he positioned himself next to Hermione. He sent the bookworm a smile, and the brown-haired witch smiled fondly at him.

Harry watched the duels attentively. He wanted to see who a threat in the near future could be. Malfoy was pathetically on the corner, sulking after his defeat. Zabini was good, but not good enough to be a threat, just like Greengrass, as her duel with Hermione (which was the best duel of the class in his opinion) ended in a draw.

Henry and Ron were mostly playing around, but the redhead won after threatening to reveal something embarrassing about the hero of the world, and so, he decided to surrender, thus giving Ron the victory. The rest of the class consisted of Tonks talking about the contents they’re going to see in the year.

He was surprised to find that he already knew most of the topics, as he had learned them in the training of the Auror forces, so it seemed like this class wasn’t going to be a challenge for him.
