Could he achieve it?

Pairing: Older Harry/Multi

Chapter #1: F*ck up the world.

In the middle of a forest, there was a hut. Inside, there were many scrolls and books, and there was a blackboard too, with many equations written on it.

“I can’t believe it… I, Harry Potter, finally made it. After twenty-two years, I finally made it, I finally found the cure for the petrification, I finally created a spell powerful enough to break the curse,” the older man said with a serious tone.

He got out of the hut, and he was greeted by the sight of his garden, but instead of having flowers, there were statues.

“I can’t believe it’s been so long since you guys got turned into statues, but it'll be over soon, I'm going to free you soon, however, this is a new chance for us to create a new world, that's why some people will not come back, for now I will only bring you guys back and some of the muggles too,”  Harry said as he remembered that day when everyone got turned into statues.

He did it, Harry Potter, he was about to do it, he was about to defeat Voldemort, the fight was almost over, and Voldemort knew it. However, instead of being scared, he started to laugh. Harry decided to ignore him and just give him the last blow, and yet, even if Voldemort was dying, he never stopped smirking.

Then Harry locked eyes with him for the last time, as Voldemort died, he left him one last memory, and so Harry saw the memory in his head, there was nothing, it was completely black.

“Potter, you may have killed me… However, just like your idiotic mother, I’m going to give up my life to leave the world one last gift… I hope you enjoy the eternity.” Voldemort’s laugh suddenly disappeared.

Harry was back in the real world, and he was staring at the scene. Everyone was celebrating happily at the defeat of the dark lord; however, soon, Voldemort’s body was lit up, and then the light became bigger.

“What the…” Harry said, completely taken aback by this unexpected turn of events, and then his eyes widened the moment the light started to hit people.

They were turned into stone statues.

“Fuck… Run!” Harry ordered, and people tried their hardest to escape; however.

The light was moving at an incredible speed, turning people into statues without hesitation. In the end, Harry and his friends realized that there was no escape from this, so they decided to remain together.

“Guys… It was good meeting you,” Harry told his friends as he closed his eyes; he didn’t want to see what was about to happen.

His friends didn’t have time to reply because soon, they were hit with the light, turning them into statues, or so Harry thought, because as soon as he opened his eyes and saw the light had disappeared, he realized something: he was still normal.

“Guys, we’re—” Harry was about to celebrate.

However, he soon realized something: his friends had been turned into statues; he was the last one who wasn’t in that state.

“No, it can’t be!” Harry said desperately. “Finite incatatem!” He said as he pointed his wand at Hermione.

The spell hit the figure of his best friend, however, she was still a statue, and then he finally realized what Voldemort meant by that, he turned everyone into statues to spend the eternity like this, Harry fell on his knees and then started to sob, he was alone, however, if there were no wizards left then that meant that no one could stop him from using magic in the muggle world.

Not that he wanted to, but then a thought came into his mind, a very worrying thought, so he decided to visit the muggle world because he was worried about the same thing happening to them, so he decided to come back, and his eyes widened as he saw the chaos as the muggles had been turned into statues too.

He was completely alone; there was no escape from this. He decided to come back with his friends and just lie there and sleep. He wasn’t in the mood to do anything; he was alone, and there was nothing he could do about it. However, he was surprised to find the resurrection stone close to where his friends got turned into statues; he thought he had thrown it.

However, this stone was now a blessing, so he decided to use it because he wanted to talk with someone, and so the figure of his mother’s spirit appeared, and Harry couldn’t help but look at her with a sad expression.

“You’ve been through so much… That was a really dirty trick from Voldemort,” his mother said with a sad tone.

“I want for this to stop, mum… I want to be with you and everyone else in the afterlife.” Harry knew what he was implying.

He knew his mother was probably going to get angry after she sacrificed her life so he could live; however, she just looked at him with a gentle expression.

“Harry… Before you take that decision, I want to let you know that none of your friends and known people have arrived in the afterlife,” Lily told him with a thoughtful expression.

That caught Harry’s attention.

“Either all of them went to hell… Or they're doing a checkup before opening the gates,” Harry said, surprised.

Lily couldn’t help but chuckle.

“It could be, but also, there's the possibility of all of them being very much alive,” she suggested, and Harry was a bit unconvinced by her words.

However, he then remembered what Voldemort told him in the memory; he told him something about enjoying eternity, so that could mean that they are petrified but conscious; they are probably seeing everything, and so, it seems like they had seen him in his current pathetic state. Harry couldn’t help but sigh.

“Mum… I know using the stone is not a good idea but… I feel lost, I’m alone, I need someone to talk to because I plan to break the curse and I know it's going to take me a while,” Harry said as he wiped the tears and got back to his feet; he had had enough of being sad.

Lily could only look at him with a loving expression.

“I’ll help you as much as I can,” she told him, and he was surprised to hear those words.

And so, Harry and Lily worked together throughout the years; sometimes his father and the rest of the order joined them as they worked to bring back humanity. Harry was surprised that he didn’t go insane because he used the stone a lot for more than twenty years; maybe this is what it meant to be the master of death.

He made a lot of mistakes, he learned a lot of things, he had the Hogwarts library all for himself and during the early stages of his research he realized something, he regretted not paying enough attention during classes, he felt completely useless and hated himself for that, although his mother reminded him that he had worse things to worry about back then, he still felt like he had no excuse.

He had to relearn what he saw in classes from day one at Hogwarts. Luckily, he had the best tutors in the world; even other Potter ancestors he didn't know joined them from time to time to help him.

However, no matter how much he researched and investigated, he couldn’t find anything to break the curse, and so the days turned into months, and then into years, and then into more than two decades. He matured and grew up a lot, but most of all, he got himself some muscles.

However, after so many years, he finally did a test on a petrified Death Eater, and so, he successfully managed to break the curse. After he saw that the spell worked, he didn’t waste time and killed the death eater without hesitation, and now he was ready to bring his friends back.

“I’m sorry, everyone… I’m sorry it took me so long,” Harry said on the verge of crying.

He was using the resurrection stone, so, his mother, his father, Dumbledore, Sirius, Remus and Tonks were there to comfort him, he shook his head and got ready to depetrify the first person he had on his mind this whole time… Hermione, he placed her statue on an open place and soon he thought about the effect of the spell and then a spell came out of his wand hitting Hermione’s statue.

There was a moment of tension; however, little by little, the sound of rocks breaking started to be heard, and Harry was having a hard time believing this was real. He was so overwhelmed by the emotions.

“Harry… Harry… You did it!” Hermione said before sobbing.

She ran and then they shared a heartwarming hug, and thus, Harry said goodbye to his loved ones in the afterlife as they disappeared and left him alone, this world was theirs now, this was a tragedy but something good could come out of this, they had the opportunity to create a better world, a world in which something like this won't happen again.
