Chapter #4: Confessions.

They did it; they managed to find the notes Snape was looking for. They were hidden in a secret room under the floor. Snape knew about it because he used to spend a lot of time at the Evans household. That room also worked as a bunker in case of a nuclear war; it was a scary but very possible thing back then.

“Okay, let’s get back with the Order and—” Snape said as they were outside the house.

However, the thing they didn’t expect to happen happened: a light in the sky appeared and soon started to get closer to the house.

“Is that…?” Harry questioned, worried.

“Potter, let’s get out of here and—” Snape couldn’t continue as some kind of laser shot at his body.

Harry’s eyes widened; he wanted to help the man; however, Snape quickly shook his head.

“Grab the notes and take them back to the burrow; don’t waste time here!” Snape almost ordered him.

Harry wanted to argue; however, he quickly nodded and grabbed the notebook. What he did was very dangerous because he almost got hit with a laser from the ship; however, he managed to grab the notebook and somehow apparate from this place back to the burrow. When he arrived, everyone was looking at him with concerned expressions.

“Harry… Where’s Severus?” Asked Molly with a raised brow.

“They… They captured him!” Harry said with a desperate tone.

Their eyes widened; it was hard to believe that Snape had been captured. He was the toughest of them; he even survived through Voldemort's rage.

“You can see my thoughts if you don’t believe me,” Harry told them, and soon, they did as they were told.

It caused Harry’s head to ache; however, he managed to convince them of what happened and to say they were horrified would be an understatement.

“No… It can’t be…” They said, and Harry could only remain disappointed in himself.

He couldn’t do a thing; that was the scariest part about all this. He had no chance against those things.

“They’re… They’re very powerful; I’m afraid to say that we stand no chance against them,” Harry’s words shocked everyone.

There was an uncomfortable silence; however, there was someone who didn’t want to give up too easily.

“Did you at least manage to get the information?” Asked Hermione with a serious expression.

Harry nodded and soon placed the thing on a table. The brown-haired witch quickly grabbed the thing and started to read as if her life depended on it. Well, their lives truly depended on this, and considering how many women throughout history claim to have been taken by aliens, and add to that the fact that she's a witch, Hermione was a perfect target for the aliens.

“There’s got to be something… Everything has a weakness in this universe; nothing is eternal!” Hermione complained.

Soon she continued flipping through the pages; there were many newspaper reports of sightings, photos, and even stories.

“All this, it doesn’t look very convincing,” Hermione said, disappointed.

To say Harry felt down after hearing that would be a complete understatement.

“Wait a minute,” she said as she grabbed a newspaper story that piqued her interest. “The African Roswell?” Hermione questioned the title of the newspaper.

She started to read and then sighed.

“What did you find?” Asked Harry with a curious expression.

“Well, apparently, according to a secret source that was there when it took place, there was an African Roswell,” she declared, and everyone but Harry looked at her with confused expressions.

“Roswell was a muggle event; apparently one of those flying saucers fell, and it was recovered by the muggle government, or so the locals claim, while others say it was just a secret muggle project,” Harry explained, and then Hermione nodded.

“Don’t focus on the fact that the thing fell from the sky; focus on the fact that they have recovered material, something that we need to study and to try to find a weakness,” Hermione’s words now made them realize that they indeed needed something from the Muggles.

“So, what’s the deal with the African Roswell then?” Asked Harry with a curious expression.

“Apparently, the British were involved in the recovery, and then it was taken to a secret British facility. If the story is true, we can ask the Muggle government to collaborate with us,” Hermione explained with a serious tone.

“Oh no, I don’t think it’s going to be easy, Hermione,” Harry sighed.

“I know… But what other choice do we have?” Hermione asked with a serious expression.

There was an uncomfortable silence.

“Well, I guess we should invite the minister first in the morning,” Remus started.

“Remus?” Asked Harry with a raised brow.

“Well, he’s been trying to get closer to you. The government hasn't been in the best graces of the public lately; if you do a favor for them, I’m sure that they’ll lend us a hand,” Remus told them with a serious expression.

Harry hated the fact that he was going to have to be polite with a government official; however, times were desperate, there was no room for pride at this moment, and so they finally made peace with the situation they were dealing with.

After that, everyone was really tired, and so they finally decided to retire to prepare for what was about to come. Harry, however, knowing that the threat of the Death Eaters wasn’t a threat anymore, decided to get to Grimmauld Place. He had nothing against the Weasleys; however, many crazy things had happened recently, which is why he needed a place to be by himself.

He was lost in his thoughts when suddenly there was a knock on the door, and so he was a bit confused at first, but then he remembered Kreacher.

“Enter,” Harry said in a calm tone, and so the door was opened, and someone entered. “Kreacher, I already told you that you can keep your old masters' things and—” Harry looked at the new guest in his room with an annoyed expression.

However, his eyes widened when he saw someone he wasn’t expecting. It was Hermione, and she was in nothing but a set of black lingerie; a small bra and a little thong were barely covering her body, and to say he was in shock would be a complete understatement.

“Hermione… What are you doing?” He asked in a worried tone.

“I… I’m trying to seduce you,” she said awkwardly.

Harry could only look at her body with awe.

“Is it working?” She asked shyly, and Harry nodded.

However, he quickly shook his head; this was very odd behavior from his best friend. Either she was under a spell, or she was an impostor. He didn't want to believe aliens could take the form of the people he loved, but that's a possibility he didn't want to discard.

“Hermione… Not that I’m not flattered, and it’s not like I’m not loving the sight, but… Why?” He asked with concern.

Hermione sighed.

“Harry… Things these days have become uncertain, and we don’t know what’s going to happen to us in the near future, which is why I didn’t want to die before telling you that I love you,” she confessed, and Harry’s eyes widened.

He could only gulp.

“I know it sounds crazy, but… That’s how I feel. I know it’s weird, but I’m not ashamed to admit it; I’m in love with you, Harry James Potter,” she declared with a huge grin.

Harry was feeling confused; he was hard, but he was also overwhelmed. He wished he could feel like this forever; it was better than sulking in his misery.
