We had so much fun in the key of A, why not shred another tasty solo in the key of D? Similar to the tutorial we did in A today we are going to explore how to solo, jam and improvise a solo in the key of D over a 12 bar blues progression in D. I will walk you through what I call "hot spots" or particular places you can get a lot of mileage out of when jamming.
While reviewing those hots spots I will talk about resolution, hitting the right note, and how to make your solo sound more like a solo and less like a scale, with some bonus licks inspired by blues giants like Eric Clapton, Stevie Ray Vaughn and even some Jimi Hendrix (specifically inspired by his solo in The Wind Cries Mary)
