Alright everybody! Let me fill you in on the zoom stuff. I upgraded my account so I can know record the videos, I will upload these hangouts to Patreon after the the hangout so no matter where you are you can watch.

I will another Zoom meeting next Friday in the morning central time so all my learners in European learning land can attend.

I also found out out how to turn the compression off so you shouldn't hear the music kick when it clips.

MEETING I.D.: 813 - 9169 - 2242

PASSWORD: Tenthumbs

Tonight's Topic:

John Carpenter's Halloween, this is a basic song that is great for the season we will warm up with it, it makes a great warm up, great for getting to know 5/4 time and also great for hiding in the closer and scaring your siblings.

Learning to add fills to rhythm: We are also going to talk about how to fill up blank space with baby riffs. We are going to do it in the key of A minor so it would be good to brush up on the A minor pentatonic scale.

Tutorials that complement tonight's live:

Thanks for the Zoom yesterday; without it I wouldn't have known you have a youtube vid for Halloween. Have practiced this morning; it will be a good tune for me to practice all year round.

It is a fun one to modify too and have fun with. I transformed it into 4/4 by playing the last 4 8th notes two times in a row and sampled it and made a goofy little hip-hop beat. It just sounds really cool, it also has the same inversion vibe as "Lose Yourself" by Eminem, I wonder if that is why I made the subliminal connection to the hip-hop beat.
