Today we are going to learn how to play "Turn the Page" by Bob Seger. I know a lot of people around the world know this song from the Metallica cover, but the song is a Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band. The melody has a shorter range but it is is still dynamic, interesting and evolving. It doesn't have any large leaps, it doesn't have any really high notes during moment of tension or crazy chords, but somehow it still stays interesting, dynamic and very emotive. The chords are fun to play on the ukulele, using the A major instead of the Am is an interesting an edgy choice, especially as the melody is constantly playing that G note over the A chord. The second time through the chord progression in the verse the melody starts to push itself further, adding color tones like the B note over the D and the A chord, while it is the 3rd in the scale it is much more stable over the Em and G than it is over the D as the 6th tone and the A as the 9th tone.
