Hi!

I would like to present to you a timelapse of me working on Saint Celestine's golden backpack with the glaze technique.

In my post below my Director's Cut patrons can find a full version of this video which is 28 minutes long, has music, my commentary, palette and color mixtures visible.

Other then that I uploaded there a step-by-step PDF tutorial about painting the other golden "arm" with the feathers.

I hope you will enjoy this timelapse :)

PS. The new tutorial for all of my patrons will be here in a few days, stay tuned!

Painting Celestine's golden nmm backpack with the glaze technique timelapse

Today I would like to present to you a very speed up video of me painting a part of Celestine's backpack in Golden NMM using the glaze technique. As you know the glaze technique is about applying many, many very thin, transparent layers of diluted paint, that slowly changes color of the base paint. It is a very time consuming technique that gives very interesting effects. Ps. I've uploaded today on www.patreon.com/flameonminiatures a PDF and a video tutorial about painting this side of the golden backpack. The tutorials are available for my Director's Cut patrons, but if you would like to learn more about the glaze technique then here is my free video tutorial about this technique: https://youtu.be/JfUmD1OA9KM Regards

Love the vid. I have a question for you. Probably a daft one. What is the reason for choosing to glaze darkest tone/shadows last in that way rather than say, glazing in highlights over a darker layer? This isn’t meant to sound like i’m questioning your approach, much more a desire to understand the theory and practice. 😉
