Hello people! Today, more pics! And I also have some news that are... good and bad at the same time 😅 Let me explain why they are good and bad at the same time. 😉

The good part is that I've been rendering animations non-stop, so expect 🔥 HOT HOT 🔥 stuff on S2E3, but this will increase a lot the size of the next update, so... It will be very hard to compress it to fit the Google/Android requirements. 😭 As always, I will do my best to fit it with the best quality possible, but there is a ton of animations and, honestly, I don't know the amount of compression it will need to fit the 2GB size limit.

*** This only affects the Android version, the other platforms like PC/Mac have the full size of the game with the best quality possible 🤩, but for the Android version, I have to compress it, and it has to be 2GB or less (Google/Android limitations.)

Now, let's go with today's pics!

1) Lovely Jen is starting to use her computer more! 😍 What is she looking for online? 🤔

2) Is Jen making new friends? 😗

3) Expect a good dose of caffeine! ☕☕☕

4) Ladies and gentlemen of IoM, Jimmy hopes that you are eating healthy and exercising regularly... Jimmy is watching... Jimmy is always watching!!! 😉

I wish everyone is enjoying this weekend! 🍻

So, with Mega, the free limit is 5 GB. https://mega.nz With GoFile, I have no idea how big it is, but I think it's also limited to 5 GB, and then the speed is limited. https://gofile.io And on the page, I'll copy what it says. You have used 0.00 GB of your daily 6.00 GB transfer limit. When the transfer limit is exceeded, the download speed for new downloads will be limited. Exceeding the limit no longer affects ongoing downloads. https://pixeldrain.com So, as an alternative to Google

Hello Ner'rull! 👋 The issue is not exactly about the size of the game, the issue is about Android/Google limitations. The app/game can only have a max size of 2GB to be installed on a smartphone, if I make it bigger, it simply doesn't install. And the only way to do this is to compress the game. * But take into consideration that this only affects Android users, the other platforms have the full experience 🤩 because there is no limit. ** I will modify the post a little because I did not explain this properly. 😉

Pics are more important than vids, and storyline/choices/paths are much more important than anything else. I'm sure we'd love to see it all but if you have to sacrifice, do it with fewer or shorter vids; it won't hurt you if the update gets released faster because of that. Relax and control the things you can knowing we like what you've done so far! The Android limits equate to how well and fast that OS processes data effectively and the amount of storage the game takes up, so fewer vids is usually a Godsend for phone and tablet users!!

Hey Kevin! 👋 I have to say that I think that I have overworked myself with the amount of animations for this update 😅 Maybe I could have gone for less, but the good thing is that the result is, in my opinion, insanely good. 🤩🤩🤩 (And I'm still doing animations 😜) But I have to think about doing less for faster releases. I tried to find someone to help me with the animations, but no luck, so I need to have a plan B. 😉 Oh, and it's always nice to hear that people like what's been done so far! Thanks! Always trying to keep improving. 🙂

I get it... completely! I've worked in one of the biggest studios out there (Bethesda) and found that what I actually liked when I'd finally get home is what I learned, nothing else. It was both a talent rich and artistically ... "challenged" enviornment. Rigid controls, high turnover and sloppy story writing was the daily grind. But the one bright spot is that I learned multiple things each week, and could still apply them today if I chose. I can't tell you how envious I am of your abilities and commitment! Much of my interest is honestly in how well this is put together. I have prob a dozen of these AVNs now and go through them with a critical eye to figure out what works, and what I could do differently. I have to learn Python, but I have all the other tools. It's the writing and story that I love, and it sets the tone. I want to be emotionally drawn in. And I've never been interested in the Neto aspects but find them a freaking magnet to write in because they can get VERY emotionally charged, in both directions. You want to root for the good guy... but is he or she actually good...? Or simply an insecure control freak. You want to punish whoever crosses an obvious line... but is it actually their fault, or yours? My creativity has awakened like nothing I've experienced in 10-15 years and I'm going to see if I can make the time to do this. And it's all based on what people like you do, and how well you do it. Kudos, and the very best of luck! And I want to see where you take this next, both fiscally and creatively. It's been a fun ride!

That's fine i prefer it on my steam deck anyways. The quality vs it being on Android is night and day.

Hey Filthy Peasant! Totally, and the Steam Deck has 100% quality. 🤩 The only version that has to be downgraded (compressed) is the Android one.

Your message is very motivating, thank you, thank you, Kevin. 🙏🙂🙏 Python is an easy language to learn. And using RenPy makes it very easy to create a VN (Plus, there are infinite great tutorials on YouTube) 😉 If you really want to do it, my only advice is to do it with passion. It takes a lot of time and work, but if you enjoy it, it's a joy. (A lot of pressure sometimes 😅) If you want me to share with you some YouTube tutorials or more information on how to start, you can DM me. You can also message me on Discord, I'm very active there and with the IoM community. 😉

Thank you so much, I appreciate it! I've found a lot of stuff on Python and it looks like I'll have a grasp in a very short time. It's not hard, just different from what I used. I haven't looked into RenPy yet by choice only because I want the basic language first (makes it easier for me to troubleshoot my "strings"). I'm quite good at finding what I need but I'll holler in an instant if I get stumped. I've got a head start over most based on my studio experience, but that has no bearing on what I'm likely to try next. And you're right, doing it with a passion is imperative, so I need to focus on my desired endings and create my story to build to that. I used to work completely backwards from the ending but learned to create 1 full chapter, then back to start how I got there. Then I'd go back and path alternates. I need to figure out a numeric scoring system for choices that transfers over to all pathways.... and a thousand other things! I'm truly getting excited! Thanks so much and I'll find you on Discord

Jen is helping you compress the data for Android.
